Ravens Beat Chargers in Final Minute

Full story: The Associated Press

This time, a field goal wasn't going to be good enough. Steve McNair had to take the Baltimore Ravens into the end zone for a victory, and he had to cover 60 yards without any timeouts.

The bottom line is the Baltimore Ravens did not beat the Chargers. Marty Schottenheimer beat the Charger. All the talent on this team and we play "Marty" ball. Sooner or later he is going to have to realize the explosive talent and probably the most talented team in the NFL requires the team to play to win not to lose. All the money paid to Rivers, and you show no confidence in him after he came out on fire, then put him out with a fire hose for no reason. This kid is good, and you pay him to play, LET THESE GUYS PLAY AND SHOW THE LEAGUE THEY ARE THE BEST.

I agree. Baltimore played well enough to not have lost by the time Marty gave up. Not only did he shackle the offense, did you notice how many guys were rushing McNair the last play? hint, it was 3.

only 3 guys rushing, and still Heap is standing all alone wide open at the 5? how do you forget their All-Pro TE that has already burned you in the game?

Merriman didn't earn player-of-the-week honors letting Heap bounce off him at the 3 yd line either. the greatest LB of all time makes that tackle, he doesn't let him bounce off like a rubber clown. loudmouth - he needs to shut up and show it.

Martychickenball is gutless and embarrassing!

who cares about journalistic integrity? this is about martyball pulling another loss from the jaws of a well-earned victory. rumblings i've read is the lockeroom is pissed and they feel he is to blame. I hope they direct their anger at the Steelers this Sunday.

you don't play ultra conservative when up by ONLY 6 points!!! 16 or more points maybe, but definitely not 6- regardless of how good the defense is! football is a game of momentum and you could feel it building for the ravens all game last sunday. as for pittsburg at home, we'll be out for revenge from last year, as well as pissed from last week and will only get better in the weeks to come... rivers has strong character and is a natural leader. he will shine and bring the bolts back to form as the TEAM LEADER.
p.s. let's go padres!

As a Raven,I must say that was a good game. The chargers will bounce back and beat the paper champ steelers this sunday. To chargersquads, the Ravens beat the chargers, in the end baltimores' "D" showed that they wanted to win more, that all! I'm gonna get back to work!

I agree the Steelers are overrated. Their defense isn't stopping people like in the past and their offense is mediocre this year. They are a tough physical team that can stay in a game if it goes their way, but they cannot dominate. Chargers will handle them easier than people expect.

Unless Marty decides to turtle up after getting another 3 pt lead! i've never been anti-Marty but i've had it with his try not to lose approach - the NFL is too dynamic now, that won't work anymore. not unless you are playing Oakland (baahaahaa)

its more likeley the steelers don't even make the playoffs.

chargers dominated Pitt last night in the 2nd half, when it mattered. just like the ravens stepped up when it mattered the week b4, the bolts learned a lesson and took care of business. Rivers looked great in his first "real" game.

Daily Horoscope for November 27

Taurus

If you wake up early this morning after a strange sexual dream, don't worry. It's just Pluto digging deep into your psyche and it doesn't mean you are perverted. Dreams about sex are almost always about something other than the carnal desires; the language of the sleeping mind is almost entirely symbolic. You are normal, so carry on in good faith.
