For football coaches, plotting a game plan is always a chess match - a sometimes Byzantine exercise in getting into the other guy's head and coming up with a strategy that will carry the day.

Well in this particular case, Nolan is just going to have to take one for the team. OUR team. Because the Ravens need this win much more than the Niners do. The Niners could go 8-8 and still possibly make the playoffs. The Ravens are going to need to be at LEAST 10-6, and even that kind of record doesn't guarantee entry in the AFC Playoffs.

We need to outplay them on every level, and after last week's performance, whether we'd like it to be or not, this game is going to be tough. We need to prove that last week was a FLUKE.....because if it wasn't.....then this season is going to be very long, and very depressing.

Let's go Ravens. You were EMBARRASED out there against the Browns. Let that sink in! Let it RESONATE. Because it's a historical fact that the Ravens play their best football, when they're ANGRY. For further proof of this, please reference back to our 2006 season opening SHUT OUT of the Buccaneers that surprised the football world.

That happened because the Ravens were humiliated and angry by the SHIT season they had before. Well let this game serve as a season's worth of anger and humility....and come out CRUSHING.

LMAO - This article is hilarious. Talking to Billick about about strategy and preparation is like talking to Rumsfeld about strategy and preparation of Iraq! NON-EXISTANT or INEPT. Anyway, ones gone and now waiting for the other. So much talent and so little coaching.

Billick faces familiar foe? You mean himself?

God I hope we lose out and hire Cowher for 08...I'm so sick of this guy.

exactly BILL you said it right... himself.Teams dont beat the ravens Billick beats the Ravens.I honestly cant remember the last time a team actually dominated us in a way that if we were using common sense we'd still lose....wasnt Denver.. throw at Champ Bailey in the enzone with Clarence butterfingers moore /pass on 4th down and inches in snow flakes and wind at midfield, wasnt carolina worst clock management execution in the history of earth or uranus, and allowing Steve smith to toast the hell out of Samari rolle over and over again without help or adjustment. wasnt Cincinatti had to resort to a fleeflicker that stood up in the rain when we produced no offense as usual.and we'll never forget this years 1st and goal from the 6.. 2nd and goal from the 2 how not to score when you've been given a make up call classic.. aka lets all pass for inches...not staring Willis Mcgahee or any reasonable facsimile. now the Cleveland game was just as much Mcalister and Mcnair's fault as his but if Mcnair wasnt playing injured I guess it wouldnt be his fault now would it.

Learn to type better English.

And bringing Bill Cowher out of retirement to coach the Ravens is the WORST idea I've heard from you Billick haters yet.

The sad thing is, the worst idea is still better then keeping BB around. If BB came to town to prove he could not coach, he has made his point ad nauseam.
