i think he'll do a great job, he's very energized and thats a good thing...people say he dosent have any experience but jason gerrett only had 3 years of coaching experience compared to him being in the league for the past 9 seasons..so i say lets give him a chance and remember people everything in life happens for a reason.. garrett's loss is harbugh's gain....

Not my first choice, but I believe it's a solid choice.
All of you fans that are whining don't get it. Mr Bisciotti is committed to putting a winner back on the field and John Harbaugh seems really exited about being here.
An 'unknown' may just what we need for this team... not someone like Bill Cowher or Martin Schottenheimer, no more big egos. Someone with no baggage is a perfect fit. Now as long as Ray-Ray and the other players realize that John Harbaugh, not them runs the team, we will be back in the playoffs very soon.

I agree with Ranman52, we wanted a coach who is gonna run this team with success, and Harbaugh is the right guy. He's excited to get started and all of us as ravens fans should be excited as well.

Welcome Coach! If your mind isn't already made up on Ryan returning, can we get an interview for Mike Singletary or Donnie Henderson as defensive coordinator? Either way, it's your show now and my only advice to you (like you need it) is don't read the Sports section of The Sun. Also, if you're looking for a fantasy football keeper league to join, get at me - if you're any good. Anyway, welcome to Maryland, good luck house-hunting! Get us a cover corner or big time WR for Suggs!

No, a little worn, though. I get tired after getting through with your mother AND your woman back to back. I'm not a young guy anymore.

So what's REALLY on your mind tough guy? Or do you just go around posting mildly amusing things like "Are you stupid?"

Now, I see - you're foolish enough to think Rex Ryan, who was in charge of our defense while it gave up countless penalties and basically showed no discipline whatsoever these past few years, should now be promoted to run the whole team.

And you asked me if I was stupid? This isn't a game of Madden, son. It's a professional sports organization. You need someone who hasn't already proven they're not capable of holding these players accountable for their actions. WTF am I wasting my time explaining it to you for, you won't understand...

I was unhappy with the Billick firing and I was hoping to bring in a more experienced coach like M. Schott but, that being said, Harbaugh is now our guy and I'm behind him 100%. Bisciotti knows he's taking a risk and he's willing to face whatever consequences arise. No guts, no glory. I like his approach. Go Ravens!!!

Bisciotti is stupid.
He'll not even talk with the sixth winningest coach in NFL history (Marty). And hire an unproven special teams coach.
Marty could of came in, disciplined this team to the play offs and raised up a young assistant to head coach after he left in a few years.

You're all stupid. The guy hasn't made the first move yet and everyone is analyzing him. Ther are and have been some very succesful head coaches in the NFL that weren't coordinators before they were HC. Bill Belicheck, Andy Reid, Mike Ditka, Marv Levy and more. That's an awful lot of wins, and Super Bowls for unqualified, inexperienced guys like a lot of you morons are labeling Harbaugh! Proves you all don't know squat. With the business empire that Steve B. has put together at such a young age, and the people he has around him at the Ravens, I am not qualified to question their decision, are you?

Great Ravens Nation, I think we may see one of the biggest single season turnarounds in NFL history. Believe it or not, we still are over .500 over the past two seasons (18-14). If the starters stay healthy we can easily blow through any opponent next year. Our dynasty starts now.

Great post!

I was one who hated to see BB go. But it is what it is. Those wanting M Shottenheimer are dense. He created conflict within every organization he has been with, and he is old. For better or worse, Harbaugh is now the man. So if you truly are a Ravens fan, you'll support him and the team 100%. Anything less, you show you are nothing but dog pooh on the sidewalk.
