This was a wierd time for this move. I think it was an ok move because Flynn has sucked for the better part of the last three years but it is just wierd timing. Chester better be ready to go because its time for him to step up. Ozzie is taking a huge risk by not putting the first round tender on Jason Brown. A team with alot of cap room could swoop in and sign him and we have no cap space to match the offer. A second round pick is not alot to give up for a young lineman who has worked through the growing pains and is about to become a star. I hope giving him the 2nd round tender doesnt come back to bite ozzie in the butt because a new lineman would be one more thing to add on our long list of needs if we lose Brown and get rid of Flynn

It's a shame that he had to be let go, but it was a understandable move. He will be missed.

Like Mike Anderson, Flynn is a great guy but I think it was definitely the right time to do it. Expect a few more big names as well. I can think of a few others that need to go...

Hey JO what are you going to do besides hold the team hostage while you stall and help the league pass us again in free agency. If your leaning on the door to retirement, hopefully it is made out of 1" plywood so you can exit sooner than you may have wanted but now know is in the best interest of the team and remember ther is no I in team. Catch the next Jet out of BWI. Please !!!!!!

I agree with P DUB. This was not the right time time cut Flynn unless Ozzie has some grand plan in the free agent market. Chester is definitely NOT the answer at center. He was manhandled just about every play last year. So unless Brown is going to be our center next year this was a stupid move.

Wishing for JO to retire this year is foolish. I agree that he is holding the team hostage but until we get someone who can do an adequate job at left tackle we need him.

what a solid quiet career...he will be missed...talk about a player getting the most out of what he had.
