Time to change the timeout rule back to the way it was...no more timeouts from the bench!

Good job with the report card. My only comment: Boller deserves an "A." Yes, he threw an interception. He also threw two touchdown passes and played with poise and grit tonight. He hung in there all night and made his completions as he got belted. He was a leader. Think about it. Boller earned an "A."

Same old Boller, played a great game but when it mattered he couldn't come through. All he had to do is get one first down. Don't blame the refs, We choked as usual.

I agree with every single grade. There was only one coaching goof and that was Rex's time out. The team was prepared. Could you grade the Refs?

"Coaching: the Ravens were ready to play".

Congratulations to Brian Billick for being able to get his team up and ready to "bring it" against the unbeaten patriots on MNF.

I wonder what their record would be if they had approached all of their games with the same intensity and passion?

Agreed on the grades, Mike

The interior offensive line play was incredible. Grubbs and Brown will be pro-bowlers in a season.

Very painful loss, but the Ravens are a few games away from drafting a franchise QB.

Championship caliber defense and McGahee, at his best, cannot overcome mindless--up-the-middle--crunc h-time play-calling.

Just though id throw these two interesting facts out there from the official nfl rulebook:

1. No defensive player who has an unrestricted path to the quarterback may hit him flagrantly in the area of the knee(s) or below when approaching in any direction.

--I saw Pats players do this to Boller on at least 2 occassions tonight. Neither of these were called a penalty.

2. Any player on the field of play or the head coach of the team may call a timeout.

--Interesting that it was the defensive coordinator that called the timeout, yet the refs still allowed it to happen.

The difference between the elite teams and everybody else was shown tonight. Sure the refs didn't help. But when we needed a play we couldn't make one. Ed Reed gets greedy fumbled away at least 3 pts. Kyle makes his usual bad throw when all we needed was a few yards for another 3 pts. Then down the stretch the offense needs 2 yds to get another 1st down and can't down. Meanwhile, the Patriots made the plays when they needed them.

And our team shows its usual lack of discipline. Throwing the flags into the stands and the post game comments. We just gave the Patriots the game of the season and probably won a lot of respect around the country and then blow it by throwing the flag into the stands and ripping the refs post game. NOT THAT THEY DON'T DESERVE IT!!!! But that should not come from the players. They come off as a bunch of cry babys. Show some class guys, you played a great game and the whole country knows how much the refs sucked. Take the high road.

There should be a public flogging for Billick calling the Time out in the Pats final TD drive.

Billick didn't call it. Ryan did, which is against the rules. The game should have ended since no timeout should have been recognized.

And the official review got the Pats last TD wrong, Gaffny did not have control as he went out of bounds. To go even further back, when Maroney made his big run in that series, there was a blatant clip on Bart Scott, in front of the Ref that was not called. Boller look was impressive tonight. This was 1 that got away.

Marty, regarding the debateable td catch it doesn't matter if it was caught or not because the two penalties commited by Bart Scott immediately following that play would place the Patriots first and an inch away from the goalline. I actually prefer he scored because it would not prolong the inevitable and still allow enough time on the clock to possibly come back.

13 penalties totaling 100 yards are signs of a poorly coached team.

Some of the players at the end of the game blamed the officials. The players need to grow up. Scott's behavior shows the Ravens are a bunch of cry babies.

Billick needs to go. His cockey attitude during interviews is a big turn off.

I aint one to toss the word around much, but I am proud of this team. Much respect. Good report card. I love Bart Scott, but this must be the most painful penalty since Zeus drew one for shaking up Javon Kearse.
