You see, this guy shoulda and coulda been hired, but they went with this other guy. Then this other team might hire this new guy, and they should because he is real good, although kinda fat. Then in April we should pick some players to come play. Then after we pick some players we can move some others around cause then they will be happier, after all it is about being fat and happy. After all this changing, hiring, firing, waiving and practicing, we will never win the first year or two because we are kinda looking ahead while at the same time, looking back, wow look at that hot chick, wait we were talking about some purple football team?
Where is my shut the hell up card anyway...Hey Ralphie

You know that you read the articles, and if not you should get a life if you log on and write a negative opinion about something you don't know about and someone who couldn't give a crap about you or your opinion. Since I SEE what an idiot you are, I guess "Maurice is Preston" too.

"Maybe 09 with who at QB? No one on the roster now and no draft choice this year or next. "

Go with Smith, I'm not sold on why he cannot succeed. He has shown some promise and with a new coaching staff who knows. If they want to draft a QB don't draft one in the first round, do it in the second at earliest. If they were to take a guy like Chad Henne I wouldn't oppose it we just have other needs and I've seen no reason to give up on Troy yet. If the Ravens get a corner in free agency they may very well take a QB somewhere in the draft just for depth purposes cause I bet McNair will be cut.

Notice how Preston patronizes and condescends with regard to Harbaugh .Maybe , just maybe , if he hires experienced coordinators , listens and learns , and Ossie sort takes over the team , and the players give him a break , in two years he might be able to do the job .What a pompous bleep !! Sort of takes away from the little credibility he might have from his juggling of the linemen .

I can't believe anybody would employ the idiot. Luckily for him there a thing called equal opportunity employment. AKA give a homey a job even if he isn't qualified to write a children’s short story.
Preston is entertaining. Your stupidity shows in your poor choice of words. I am white and am embarrassed by aholes like u.

Are you the same Maurice that used to call in to the WBAL talk shows and speak to Rex Barney? There used ot be a Maurice that called in every show. Those were the days.

Once again draft the best 2 available corners with the first 2 picks and O lineman with 5 and 6, Troy Smith has looked very impressive.... Finnerty might be better than Ryan if they give him a chance , Boller and Mcnair are still signed....Ryan moves like my grandmother trying not to trip over her cat...that wont do in todays NFL.. not enough premiere offensive lineman to go around, add speedy young corners, sure up the offensive line and Harbaugh will win this year and he wont make mistakes. He's fundamental... all he needs is a whole defense and an adequate offensive line... the receivers are fine... the quarterback position is fine.Draft according to need not upgrade positions that are not your most pressing concerns...thats a luxury they dont have... there is no more desperate need than corner's... Mcalister played just a few games before succumbing to a season ending knee injury, he's 30 years old chasing 22 year old burners... Rolle has a chronic illness, there's no other viable option at corner... get a grip on reality... the philosophy that you can waste a season or two and then put everything together is flawed....giving up on this season when a few smart choices could put you right in the thick of the competition would be crazy.

We need to focus on getting as many top offensive line prospects as possible. That position is where it all begins and ends, from protection for the quarterback to have time to set up, look over the field and throw, to opening holes for a running back. Forget the hype and glitz of the marquee players, running backs and quarterbacks, get the best offensive linemen out there. Get a bunch of them.

Agree completely with the line suggestions. Unfortunately Chris Chester may never have the bulk to be an effective lineman - I watched him get shoved backwards many times. He should be used as a blocking tight end or be cut.
