New Jersey motorists may want to get red light smiles ready

New Jersey drivers may soon be posing for unwanted portraits. The Assembly and Senate were scheduled Monday to consider allowing municipalities to install cameras to catch drivers disobeying traffic signals.

The provision providing no points for camera based citations clearly demonstrates that the intent of this ill advised legislation is REVENUE.
It's been found in other jurisdictions that when red light cameras are installed, rear end collisions increase. It's also been noted that when cameras are installed by a non-governmental agency, the yellow light timing decreases...
No matter how you slice it, it's a BAD IDEA.
