Fire someone. I don't care if it's an overreaction just three games into a season in a lousy division in a weak conference.

The person who needed to be fired was George Halas, around 1950, when the game had passed him by.

Alas, he owned the team. He spent the rest of his life running it incompetently, save the years before his son Muggs ran it before his death.

After George Halas died, the team fell into the hands of Virginia McCaskey and her clan of motley McCaskeys. The McCaskeys are even more inept than Halas was, but because the NFL is a successful cartel, they cash in despite not contributing anything worthwhile.

The family members are not among the league's best or brightest, so the team will never be a winning organization. The Bears tradition is more pathetic than the Cubs. No chance that changes until after the McCaskeys sell.

George Halas, post 1950, was the Al Davis of his day.

What about Ron Turner? FIRE HIM! Get someone who knows what the terms misdirection and half time adjustment mean. Why does this guy always get a pass? Look at all the players he had who were terrible with the Bears and went on to be stars at other teams (Griese being the most recent example).

What about Babich? FIRE HIM TOO! The way he calls the, defense on every play he should line up the team on the end line and see if they can stop the opposing player before they cross the goal line.

This team is terrible because of the coaching and yet Ron Turner, Bruce Babich and Lovie Smith get passes from the press because they are such nice guys (who finish last!)

We've had high hopes that Lovie would lead the Bears to new and improved play for quite a few years now and so far that hasn't happened. Is it him? The offensive coordinator? We seem to have players good enough to go elsewhere and play better than they did for the Bears. So look higher up the ladder. But do it, now. Before another season goes down the toilet.
