Mr. Manning is a triple threat;unfortunately it's to his own team

He can't play corner, nickel or safety

You know it's true

I hope they do go KGB. It couldn't hurt, and they would have nothing to lose. Bears rarely get pressure on the QB. With the Packers still to play twice maybe KGB would have revenge on his mind, and break Rodger's spine.

Your call for the cheap ass park district and the even cheeper ass Bears to step into the 21st century and install Field turf at Soldier Field is the single most accurate statement ever made in this column.

Watching Bears games over the years has been an embarassment to the entire city of Chicago. We are a world class city and deserve world class facilities. The turf at Soldier Field is awful even before the weather turns and an abismal disaster once it does.

Bet you it doesn't happen any time soon, probably until after all the Mckaskeys are long gone.

The bigger concern on defense is the lack of play by Urlacher, Vasher, Wale and Mike Brown. These guys look like pay check players who are more concerned about staying healthy for the term of their contracts rather than just going out and playing. Urlacher is by far the most disappointing player on and off the field that this team has had in many years. Everyone know he is dogging it this year and everyone knows that he does not care. He plays like a guy who is more worried about what's in his account than whats under his helmet. Urlacher has been consumed by the intoxication of stardom and he is the only one who can't see it. Vasher needs to be moved to the third CB spot as it appears his best days are behind him. Corey Graham has outplayed him, out hit him and looks like a guy who wants to be on the field. I wish every player on the tem had Mike Browns heart and passion. It's too bad that his body is giving out after a career full of injuries. It's time to get Holt, Steltz or Manning filling the roll. Thanks Mike Brown for the 2 good years you gave us.

KGB, that'd be sweet to pick him up, he'd have a fire under his ass playing against the Packers. He'll probly do a better job then some of the overly-paid players on this defensive line.

And the issue with the field, like WTF? Soldier Field was just reconstructed, and they have the shittiest field I've ever seen.

You know what's funny, it's like the field was made for the Bears, only for running the football and relying on lucky slips for whatever team to win. Cough Calvin Johnson Slips, Mike Brown intercepts first pass Cough. Cough Jason Hanson slips on extra point that influences rest of game Cough

Steltz was intense...put him in there.

Replace Hester on kick returns with Manning. Let Hester just be a receiver. He has done nothing on returns this year, and gets injury after injury on the returns.

I totally agree with the field turf idea. This is what, the third or fourth time in recent memory that the field was in abysmal condition for the game? Too bad they can't pull a trick like the Patriots did a few years back and replace it mid-season to address the surface issues there. Unfortunately, I agree with BigWay that they won't do anything about it. They don't have the same commitment to improving the team as the Kraft family does with the Patriots.

On KGB- Not a terrible idea,, even if its to light a fire under some butts. Hell, drop Andersen since he has done nothing but get caught out of positon all year.

Field- How about covering up the field before a rain storm. I know it sounds silly, but THAT is what caused the slips Sunday.

I'm in favor of Stetlz getting the nod; I think manning is a high 2nd rnd. bust.
