The Bears Offensive line is were I said they were not too bad off before the recent turn of events the past couple of weeks. Brown and Tait no longer being with the Bears makes a Bad situation even worse.

They had enough holes to fill, now they have even more. I guess it just went from missing pieces (DID YOU NOTICE I DID NOT SAY A "FEW MISSING PIECES") to almost a rebuilding year.

Their needs are many, they are at; Offensive Line, Defensive line, Defensive Backs, Receivers, A complimentary back for Forte. Need I go on?

Continuing anyway!

Replacements for all the players that are aging and are creeping up on retirement, and only have maybe a few years left of solid playing time.

I hesitate to broach the QB quandary. That is one heck of a can of Worms in itself. Do the Bears stick with who they have or do they invest in someone from the Free agent market or Draft "another rookie"?

Where does the situation leave Caleb Hanie?

It seems that whenever the Bears draft a QB he sits on the bench for 2-3 yrs they get rid of him and draft another only to do the same thing all over again.
Why is when any other team drafts a QB that QB has a even chance to develop into a NFL QB and not just waste away on the bench then get released?

A good example is Roethlesburger, and there were others that started as rookies and 2nd yr men. Why don't the Bears have the same vision with any of their drafted Qb s? Is it that they are scared to let a rookie or 2nd yr man lead their team, or is it they can not evaluate talent? I think it is a toss up with the CANNOT EVALUATE TALENT winning by a nose.

So all us fans can do is endure the mess the Bears are in and enjoy the wins that they can pull of. And hope that sometime after September 2009 or maybe in 2010 an event, maybe a change of heart by Virgina McCaskey in the way the Bears are run will bring massive changes to management and the coaching staff.

The changes are a long time in coming, maybe they will finally arrive. Finally bringing the Bears back to the 21st Century, and not Lovie Smith's version of Pop Warner circa 1905.
