David the only statement you where you you are incorrect about is the fact that Mike Brown wasn't the best safety on our team. He is still by far far the best safety we had last season, who played better Kevin Payne? Come on!!! And by the way David, Mike Brown is NO back-up or "emergency starter." To hear you say that is sad. Mike still has some gas in the tank, and he is NOBODY'S BACK-UP!!!

Dear Mike Brown, Please go to the Dolphins and provide them leadership. Warm weather, hot chicks and a class organization would be a good landing spot for you. Thanks for being Mike Brown, stud defensive player for the Chicago Bears. Good Luck!

Haugh just doesn't understand...the Bears will miss Mike Brown off the field, and in the locker room. The team lost more than just a safety. That's like judging Obama's importance strictly based on what bills he signs.

That's why they need to find him a Coaching position! Brownie can be the guy that will motivate them. I'd love to see him back on the field, too, but physically his time has run down. If he goes and coaches with another organization, I'm going to have to come back down to IL and thump on a few chowderheads.

I am just about done being a bears fan, until Angelo is done raping the fans for max dollar, they can kiss my backside. If Mike Brown does not end up coaching for us then to hell with da bears. I hope he goes somewhere and dominates. I do realize that injuries have to be taken in to consideration but cut the spiritual heart and soul of a locker room?! Maybe Angelo will trade Forte next for some extra picks in the draft that he uses to draft water boys.
Oh and screw the coaches for letting Brown go as well.

Later Bears, until your management is as commendable as your past...I'm a Lions fan.

I am still in shock that he actually said something negative about the Bears drafting. This is the same writer who thinks that the new backup to a backup QB they just brought in is the next John Elway.

Brown was the Best Saftie on the team last year, Payne has no range and he had a lot of tackles cause teams went at him all day.

Were are the Bears weak on defense? Middle of the field. I wonder what Payne will do now that Brown is not telling him what he should be doing and what coverage they are in.

Seeing Manning at FS should be fun him and Payne could get together and have a spelling contest. Cat, K-a-t-t, Katt.

Jay just because Obama is African American doesn't automatically make him a great president. Obama's presidency should be judged solely on him keeping his promises to the american people and his character. By the way Jay it's not looking to good for Obama so far. His importance is nothing more than whether or not he does his duties correctly, PERIOD!! You should get no special treatment simply from the color of his skin but like Martin Luther King stated, judge me on the content of my character. If we do what Dr. King is saying to do than it's not looking to good for Mr. Obama.

Jay take that POLITICAL CRAP elsewhere. No one said anything about the color of Obama's skin or his ability to run this country.
Perhaps if your old fart of a candidate wouldn't have chosen that ditz from Alaska as a VP candidate, you could be resting easy. Only Worrying what happening with your Suns, Cards, and Diamondbacks.
OK! where was I?
We are talking Bears football.

We real BEAR fans have a lot of concerns about this team...
1. We have to suffer through ANOTHER draft with Jerry Angelo in charge of said, draft.
2. The Bears have too many holes to fill and we'll have to rely on Jerry Angelo to fill them.
3. It's almost Free Agent season, and we'll have Jerry Angelo in charge of paying said, free agents.

i remember a day, when athletes trained to lose weight. in fact we were denied water.... to be honest i don't think your fat boys are that good anyway ... in fact they couldn't even make it through 17 games ... too much water weight?

nintento generation ... 20 years from now, they'll play with their thumbs?

i am really wondering where the Athletes will come from next few generations...

and i guess a bailout for the millonaire athletes i suppose is next?

well said, what you also need to remember is that people wanna believe in something, now we got a faction of people believing this will change America, like being #1 for the last 100 years didn;t make a statement, and then we got this guy coming in like he's king kong ... i agree, show me the money first .... this is not a new America. We elected a man, treat it that way, you want to eliminate colorm start now ... he's a man. Now let's see the man do it... 2 cents.

They will both be missed equally since both were good players and leaders on their side of the ball. Tait was a quiet leader and Brown was the inspirational leader. I predict Brown will go to another team, get away from whatever was causing him to get the leg injuries (practice procedures, crappy field at Soldier Field, etc.) and return to his true Pro-Bowl status. The Bears will regret lettting him go just like they regretting letting go a lot of other good players recently. But in a way, I do not blame them. The team needs some changes.
