When did Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs become "outstanding, stand-up members of the community?"

Joe, what great sarcasm! I have never laughed so hard in all .... What? You're serious?
OK, I'm laughing again so hard again because ..... Come ON! You can't be serious!
TJ ran over the back of this same O-line and while not the Payton-perfect back, never used the line as an excuse. He also didn't brag about his having had "a great game" when he went over 80 yards. Every carry that TJ had, I felt that he gave it everything he had and what he had was heart, desire and confidence.
"Great", for those of you athletes who are full of yourselves, is an appellation to be granted to you ONLY BY OTHERS!! It's the heighth of arrogance for YOU to suggest that YOU had a great game.
TJ's typical reaction to being named the player of the week: "I really wanted us to win that game and once in awhile, you get in a zone and the whole team seems to be working well, for one reason or another and I found myself being selected as player of the week/game. Go figure."
Cedric never had a clue as to why he WASN'T picked as player of the game. Didn't we see all the reasons why he only gained 2 yards per carry?
"I fall down, go boom!"
The line was a lot worse from the one year to the next. Benson and Jones both had roughly the same YPC when they were playing behind the same line despite Benson doing more of the short yardage work. Neither is very good in my opinion however Ronny Turner did no Bears players any favors last year by not catering to individual strengths like a real coach should. He started the season trying to turn Rex into Brian Griese by calling a million check downs that never work anyway and ended it running the minute Garrett Wolfe up the middle on the Goal Line!!! I can't wait to see what this genius has in store for next season!

I don't think they tried to intentionally hurt him, but i do think they did give him some extra shots. a sorta "welcome to the league you cocky, holding out, rookie"
benson being the soft player he is, got hurt from the extra contact.
just my two cents.
bong hit, I'm with ya...and when I say I'm with, I mean I'm with ya...both in name and and comments: I played ball for 8 yrs and while there were always teammates you wanted to show a little extra attention to, there never, ever is an intent to injure. That's nonsense and complete media fabrication. Kinda like the Enquirer headline "Drunk Mortician cremates sleeping janitor". Come on now....get real.

i am a Huge Benson supporter always have been, always will be. Because thats what you do when a player is on your team. You root for them, you want them to succeed, you want them to be the best in the league. However I must be the only fan in chicago to feel that way( I also love sammy and will always). Chicago fans have become some of the worse fans in sports the last couple of years. All they do is drink haterade and critisize every athlete on their so called favorite teams. How can you say thomas Jones is so much better when all he did was demand a trade, get traded and suck for the Jets. Noone was saying see how good Tj is why did we trade them. You fans failed to see our oline was terrible. And yes again Jerry Angelo has cut another player after 2 arrest before being convicted. Can you imagine if the Ravens had cut Ray Lewis for being tried for MURDER. No like a real team they stuck by him and look how great that turned out. Maybe we should of done the same for Tank and Ced. No all you fans are putting your hopes into another rookie Matt forte who had a fumbling problem at Tulane. I however will not,Im not sure at this point if i can root for te Bears again as long as they have Jerry Angelo as GM. Its time to cut him or do us a favor Jerry RESIGN.
I wish we still had Benson and Tank. We can use all the help we can get. Cedric will be in a Cowboy, or Texan uniform come the start of the season.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Taurus

You seem to be operating at a slower pace than normal today, which is frustrating. Maybe you're feeling tired and listless, or you've hit a series of snags. You might also feel overwhelmed by duties and obligations, particularly if they're connected with your job or with neighborhood activities. Perhaps you need to delegate?
