what ever happen to Benson was all Benson! His team mates all stuck up for him and stood behind him so lets all just say thanks for nothing and goodbye

I agree with him. It wouldn't make sense to try and hurt your own teamate. But it's football. A comedian once said: "How dumb can they be? They understand football!"

Stand up people? Maybe Mike Brown, but I would not call Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs stand up prople. Just ask all of the women that they got pregnant, and most of them aren't stand up people either.

I think I saw Urlacher picking up one of his kids at the Hinsdale Oasis on I-294.

I don't think they tried to intentionally hurt him, but i do think they did give him some extra shots. a sorta "welcome to the league you cocky, holding out, rookie"

benson being the soft player he is, got hurt from the extra contact.

just my two cents.

Cedric Benson should have been a target of challenge, but nobody bothered because he was too easy to knock down or hurt.

I don't even think that they would hit him because he held out; after all Briggs and Urlacher are always threatening to hold out themselves, so they wouldn't hurt him for that.

As a matter of fact it kind of looked like his teammates were indifferent towards him; at least as indifferent as he was towards them. So I think Ruben Brown maybe right, because I don't think any of the Bear players cared enough about Cedric Benson to want to hurt him. Well at least that is the way that it appeared me as a fan.

Makes no sense?
Half of the things I read in the paper make no sense.
That doesn't mean it didn't happen.

True, but there might have been some animosity towards Benson for taking the spot from Thomas Jones.

i am a Huge Benson supporter always have been, always will be. Because thats what you do when a player is on your team. You root for them, you want them to succeed, you want them to be the best in the league. However I must be the only fan in chicago to feel that way( I also love sammy and will always). Chicago fans have become some of the worse fans in sports the last couple of years. All they do is drink haterade and critisize every athlete on their so called favorite teams. How can you say thomas Jones is so much better when all he did was demand a trade, get traded and suck for the Jets. Noone was saying see how good Tj is why did we trade them. You fans failed to see our oline was terrible. And yes again Jerry Angelo has cut another player after 2 arrest before being convicted. Can you imagine if the Ravens had cut Ray Lewis for being tried for MURDER. No like a real team they stuck by him and look how great that turned out. Maybe we should of done the same for Tank and Ced. No all you fans are putting your hopes into another rookie Matt forte who had a fumbling problem at Tulane. I however will not,Im not sure at this point if i can root for te Bears again as long as they have Jerry Angelo as GM. Its time to cut him or do us a favor Jerry RESIGN.

Glazer doesn't know know what he is talking about. Must be talking through his A$$ because his mouth should know better. Why would they want to do that? Doesn't make sense. When people like this make stupid comments they need to be chastized in an open forum about it. Fox sports is second rate anyway and they need all the pub they can get.

Briggs is a stand up guy?

Now we know this probably happened. The guy needs to learn how to get along with other folks. Especially if they weigh 300 pounds.

Joe, what great sarcasm! I have never laughed so hard in all .... What? You're serious?

OK, I'm laughing again so hard again because ..... Come ON! You can't be serious!

TJ ran over the back of this same O-line and while not the Payton-perfect back, never used the line as an excuse. He also didn't brag about his having had "a great game" when he went over 80 yards. Every carry that TJ had, I felt that he gave it everything he had and what he had was heart, desire and confidence.

"Great", for those of you athletes who are full of yourselves, is an appellation to be granted to you ONLY BY OTHERS!! It's the heighth of arrogance for YOU to suggest that YOU had a great game.

TJ's typical reaction to being named the player of the week: "I really wanted us to win that game and once in awhile, you get in a zone and the whole team seems to be working well, for one reason or another and I found myself being selected as player of the week/game. Go figure."
Cedric never had a clue as to why he WASN'T picked as player of the game. Didn't we see all the reasons why he only gained 2 yards per carry?
