The board made a mistake in 2005. It didnt have to take on the mascot change. They did it on their own and are now reaping what they had sown. If it was left alone we wouldnt be in this mess and the board would have the 100% backing of their elective. If the Previous Board would have represented their townspeople, Kelseyville Indians would still be going strong; gyms would be filled, rallies would be exciting, kids would have pride in their school and the people in the community would not be fighting off degrading remarks from outsiders
Yeah, and if the local southern authorities had represented their "townspeople" and their "country people", THERE WOULD STILL BE SEGREGATION IN THE SOUTH. There is a time when MORAL LEADERSHIP must take precedence, and the previous board members showed great courage, integrity and voted their CONSCIENCE, something that is singularly lacking among this minority of "Kelseyville Indian" residents.

Also the workers deserve to be paid for work they did and were entitled to be paid for. Just because they work for someone who makes a mistake and signs time cards for two workers and one put too many hours down, the second worker gets paid nothing and just gets told by a social worker involved "tough shit, if you want paid go fill out a police report".

All I heard them repeat was we don't want to give criminals a raise. If we don't hire them, if we don't give them raises how do we expect them to get back to being responsible members of society and when do IHSS workers all become criminals. I guesss paying your dues to society has changed in that you are always going to get less even if you have paid your dues.

This is not a moral issue. The people of Kelseyville and the alumni of Kelseyville have the utmost respect for the Indians of the early west. That is why they chose them as their representative. The moral issue would be for the board to do what they were elected to do. - Represent the people who elected them -

Why the nights who picked that name or who thought of it anyway?
Well then, Lakeport should change the name "Vikings",same with KVL "Knights".These are all people too.How about the "Trojans" for Lower Lake? What if my ancestors were one of these? Come on now....this is getting to be really ridiculous. Change the name back and lets show pride in being the KVL Indians!!

How is it honoring a people to name something for them when they don't want it named that? How it it not discusting to name a lovely town after a rapist, murderer and pedifile. As a K-ville alumni this embarresses me. Change the name.

How about the Hitlerville Jews? Or the Apartheid Negras? Or the Salem witchburners? If some of the Pomos don't want it, then for god's sake, don't change it back! You change it back and you'll start the push to change the shameful name of kelseyville. But I guess you kelseyville people like being named after a murderer and rapist. Think about it, how many whites were killed by Pomos? Not many. The Pomos were peaceful. the fact that they murdered kelsey and stone means that those men were despicable. In this day and age, they'd be on the sex offenders list. Is that what you all are proud of? Being named after a sex offender? And now you think that the Pomos are crybabies because they don't want their name associated with the sex offender who dishonored their women? For shame kelseyville. Hang your heads.
