Was Bob Hunter at the luncheon holding Tressel's hand?

I think we all know that the team is going to continue to "bring it". I would just like to see Coach Tressel "bring it" with the play calling, and let this team open up and pour it on for a change.

To Mr.Tressel.................. I worked for an airline for almost 40 years and had the pleasure of knowing that nearly everyone on the other side of the counter could do my job better than me.I just never had a 100,000 thousand at one time.

You get paid too much money to field a "good football team". Time to put up. Even Bob Stoops beats a top 5 team once in a while.

I am sick and tired of losing on the National Stage like many Buckeye fans. I think its time we take a hard look at Mr Conservative. Do we really still believe "In Tressel we Trust?" Maybe against the INDIANAs, Purdues, Troys and Youngstown States..but against top notch talent...Cmon !!

Coach could save himself a lot of time and trouble if he would just record these remarks and play them as needed. Same old, same old!!!!!
It's too bad the fans are the only ones upset over a loss that shouldn't have been.

Notice that he said SOME of the people who write him are "miserable." He wasn't referring to everyone who writes to him or everyone who is upset after a loss.

I am sure he gets really messed up, threatening e-mails all the time from disturbed individuals.

I watched the game for a second time last night. OSU "players" had numerous opportunities to win the game. A dropped pass in the endzone, a missed block punt in the endzone, and the offense in general failing to move the ball numerous times with mid field starting position. They were in positon to win the game and didn't. USC took advantage of their opportunities and did.... Great effort on defense, need better execution on offense.

ok, let's never run a qb sneak again because it didn't work once last year (although pryor didn't run the called play anyway)... and let's never kick a long field goal in that situation again because a kicker 4 years ago missed it. yet we run the same failed power plays time and time again.

Uh, oh, looks like Jimmy Tressel, aka, The Fragile Genius, is upset. Barring any miscreant directing death threats your way, I think you've got more important things to acknowledge and confront. It's kind of funny that Tressel's insults are much like his offenses: passive aggressive.

I predict these guys are hopping mad about losing this game; and they will come out smoking angry against Toledo, and carry that anger and motivation the rest of the season. If we win out, with our only loss being a nail biter to USC, it will have been a fabulous season. And next year should be even better. Call me crazy but that's what I see. Anger can be a great motivator and I hope they are real angry.

Tressel's arrogance has reached a new high. So, the fans are the ones with the problem. How dare you judge the fans, that are fed up with your incompetence, as being misarable people. I have always believed you should stay, but just make some changes. After this pathetic statement at the press conference, I am done with you. You must go! I have been a fan of OSU since 1968. I have never loathed a coach as much as the way I now feel for you. God bless the OSU players, but Go Rockets!

It's college football that is very entertaining and we are very fortunate to have a team such as this year's Buckeyes and a coach like Tressel.
Grow up Columbus and support your team.
PS: below relates to a lot of money for the school too!

I love the Buckeyes and I'm miserable. When will Coach Tressel realize that he is not an offensive coordinator. In his eight year tenure, OSU has only cracked the top 60 twice in total offense out of 119 D-1 schools. In my book, that is a major problem for a high profile program like Ohio State.

"You guys really brought it". At a top level program THAT strikes me as a given, not a reason for a pat on the back. Let's not confuse effort with results. If by a "good" football team, Coach Tressel means sharing the championship of a weak conference after losing to the only other highly ranked Big10 team while losing non-conference and bowl games - then "good" is not good enough.

I agree. So, lets cut Tressel's pay down to about $35,000 per year instead of $3.5 million per year because that's about the importance a football coach has in the grand scheme of the world, maybe even less. The saved monies could then be used to feed the hungry, build houses to shelter the homeless, etc., etc.
