o,
great post. i think youre absolutely right about the fins getting snubbed. all the national sports media go crazy for atlanta and mike smith with little mention of the fins front office or coaching. if you look at the numbers for favre and pennington its easy to see that CP already got the shaft

I am a HUGE Patriots fan but I have always liked Chad Penningtons style and always said he was a great quarterback. He has done one HELL of a job with the Dolphins, thats for sure. I just hope the Dolphins lose Sunday and the Patriots win. Oh by the way, I live in New England, New Hampshire but have always liked the Dolphins too, but what will be will be.. Good Luck!!!!

The Fish benefitted from a very easy schedule. They're not even an average team IMHO.

We played everyone the Jets and New England played, and were winning the division, so I guess were pretty good jerk off

The easy schedule is why the Dolphin are in first place and not chad pennington. If chad pennington was any good the jets would have no reason to sign brett farve. if anything he is just average and average doesn't make him a MVP.

Omar, very well said. You have me thinking there is a large possibility that the Dolphins aren't getting any love, is because like it or not, this has Parcells written all over it. He's done it a few times before. Taking away any surprise issues concerning him. I would still vote Parcells for executive of the year though. If for no other reason, he hired Ireland and Sparano. As soon as players heard he was here, the attitude changed. No one has done what he's done for as many teams. If someone hits me with the no super bowls since the Giants story, consider the teams records before he got there and after he left. Also look a couple of years after, much like the Jimmy Johnson teams in Dallas. Like it or not, they are his players still winning. He leaves because he doesn't like to be told what to do. My advice to the new owner Mr. Ross, would be to leave Parcells alone ane you'll be in the super bowl in 3 more years, if not sooner. Then I'm guessing it will become Irelands team.

Who cares about awards? The only one that counts is the Lombardi Trophy.

You know, I get tired of hearing people justify the Dolphins success by claiming that they had an easy schedule. That is at least partially true: we played the AFC West and the NFC West, just like all the other teams in our division. Those two divisions are very bad: in fact, both may have division winners with losing records; at 8-8. Out of all those games, we have a better conference record than any of the others.

People claim that we drew an easier schedule than the rest because we can in last place in the division in 2007. We ended up playing the Ravens and the Texans, two good teams that we actually lost against! The rest of our wins have come from the same matchups that the other teams in our division have faced themselves.

So why aren't people saying that the Jets or the Patriots benefited from their easy schedule. Also, what explains Buffalo's collapse after a 5-1 start? It seems to me that the ESPN crowd wants to justify their anti-Dolphin bias. Go figure!

As another poster already mentioned. The reason no hype is because of Parcells. Its what he does, and everybody just expects thats whats going to happen.

I am sure there are many, many people crying over the fact that Parcells did exactly what it is he does.

People expect greatness from him, and....no suprises.

This is why the Florida fans are terrible, even their local paper can't support their teams. That's pathetic.

Why should I shed tears for a million dollar football loser who does nothing for those less fortunate who spend their Sundays and Mondays watching this loser team play?

Stop whining.
