Getting Ryan on the turf often will be key. It will not be as easy as it was against the pass-only Cards, because our D-Line will have to be thinking run and pass. I would not be surprised to see us blitz more than usual this game especially early and then back off and fake blitzes later.

Key to this game is keeping our offense on the field and protecting TJACK from Abraham.
If McKinnie can play his A game, we have a good chance. Vikings will need to roll the pocket away from Abraham whom I would remind everyone has 15 sacks..5 more than Jared Allen.
McKinnie will need to keep Abraham buried in the turf. PERIOD!

I think if anyone else had AP, He would be MVP, as they would know how to use him.If Klink would keep both backs in at same time, the other teams would be guessing more. Or a 3 reciever set to get down to 7 in the box. If light bulb head would of did this, I bet AP would already have over 2000 & alot of long TD runs & chester would also have a lot more. Right now the opposing defenses dont even have to think, Its AP on 1st 2 downs then in comes chet for 3rd?

Vikes will do just fine. If Pat was in, I'd say they they almost have the game sewn-up. Without Pat... This is probably going to be a dog fight. Just an observation, take away the stats, that only show what opponants Atlanta has played, Allen is better than Abe. IMO of course. McKinney has been practicing against Allen all season.

Abraham has 1 more sack than Jared, 14.5 to 15.5 according to NFL.com . Remind everyone of a truth next time.

Jared Allen has more than 10 sacks. He has like 13-14.5, something like that.

With Pat and Kevin in there, it was always one or the other getting doubled. Now we know who its gonna be. Evans needs to play huge.

If Vikings make the playoffs, Peterson IS MVP.

Here is the key to stopping Turner- jump out to a big lead ( like in Arizona), then put our foot on their neck and don't let up. It will force them into pass mode and Turner won't be an issue.

It should be a good challenge, you are
correct, Archangel, w/o Pat it changes things, others will have to step up, Allen and Kevin are Pro Bowlers and I think will show why. Thanks to whomever posted the new Williams video

They should try to add Allen in the name, though.
They draw a lot of attention away from him.
Turner should be a great test, to try and contain.

I believe Leslie Frasier can get this rookie QB unsettled with another well designed game plan, big props for Leslie.

IAVikeFan - "Gee, ya think so?" Now tell us "how" to jump out to a big lead.

Putting pressure on the opposing QB has been huge for the team lately and will play a big part of this game. Agree with ZygiZag about the game plan, but we've been getting pretty solid play from the front four without resorting to blitzing.

Our weakest play has been from special teams-that's where my concern is.

Greetings Vikes. I have visited and watched some of the greatest games Atlanta has been a part of.(1998) I am seeing all your comments and concerns and they are all valid points. Some Items to consider. 1. The Predator did not make the pro-bowl. Hopefully he will show the voters what a mistake the made. 2. Atlanta is more then Turner. You must stop White/Jenkins/Douglas/Finneran . 3. Toe to Toe, your rushing game is admirable, but the differnce will come into quarterback play.(My Vote is that Atlanta has a better Q.B.)

Wish the best to all of you, but honestly, you have gotten your hands full, and I don't think it will be as easy as some of you are stating. NFL Network is carrying the Min/Atl. game from 1998 @ 900 eastern. My hope is that some of your that are blogging were counting us out that year to.

Best of Luck, and hope no-one gets seriously injured. It will be a great game, one I am hoping for an Atlanta Falcons Victory!

Hey Dirty, nice to see a fan of an opposing team visit and not talk a bunch of obnoxious crap before the game is even played. I personally dont believe this will be an easy one for the Vikes. I think they are a pretty close match and it will come down to execution and who makes the least mistakes. Cant tell ya good luck. I will say "Heres to a good game" (with the good part being on the Vikings side!)

By the time the Vikings play, Chicago will have lost their game, and the'll have clinched the NFC North. They'll play loose, and make it an enjoyable game for the "Purple People," i.e., Vikings Fans.
