Why is a referee explaining a call? They do the best they can at the moment in time that a potential infraction happens and make a judgment call. Do they make mistakes? Sure, but the law of averages says those mistakes will eventually even out across most teams. Get over it.

Somebody please bring back Battlebots. Now there's a sport worth watching.

FALSE START - PLAY IS AUTOMATICALLY DEAD AND NO OTHER CALLS SHOULD BE MADE!

These refs were penalty happy this game. They have to understand that folks aren't there for them, and if a game ends up determined by the referees and not the players on the field, then they have overstepped their role. This is a pretty clear example -- Suggs barely grazed the guy, not something you can change the tempo of the game over. A 15 yard penalty at this stage of a game requires something blatent, like during the Titans prior encroachment call where they put Flacco on the ground and only got the minor penalty called. Bogus all the way and this ref should be censured.

No problem with the rule interpretation, just the judgement. He never hit him in the head.

Unless the ref had some unique view that everyelse in the stadium did not have - nice explanation by the ref - one problem though Suggs never hit quarterback in the head -

Must admit that Suggs is right on this. Even if he did hit the quarterbacks head (?) his arm was deflected by an offensive player. Another game that was an issue with the officiating.

Of course we didn't help ourselves. Flacco is still a rookie and does' not have a feel for the speed of the game yet , though he played good.

The defense kind of layed down in the forth quarter - perhaps getting tired.

Stover , though I think the world of , sucks. Perhaps it is time for the old man to move on. Where are some of the younger kickers that were on the roster this summer ?

This ref is a joke. It's not like Suggs came in and smacked him across the helmet. I hope the Ravens hit up the NFL on this BS. There was no reason for that call. The play should had been blown dead in the first place. How about the no-call when Albert Haynesworth tackled Joe Flacco after the play was dead when Haynesworth jumped off sides?

rules need to be changed to stop protecting QB's too much. It's gotten out of hand. It ruins the ultimate outcome of a lot of games when calls that aren't scene are being called. I bet if the ref sees the replay he'll admit it wasn't worth taking a W away from the Ravens over.

This organization is tagged as the bad boys of the NFL,mostly the defense. Our defense was making a stand and a nazi ref interferred. It's not going to change. We basically have to overcome the refs, too,to earn a win.

I just watched the replay and the back judge was standing there watching the play. He wasn't blowing the whistle or waving his hands to end the play - he was standing there. So who was trying to shut it down? That's complete garbage. Two awful calls in one play.

Time for the referees to be reviewed by the instant replay. Their ability to change the outcome of games should be stopped. The head judge should look at calls shown to be bad on the stadium screen.

I just wached the replay five times frame by frame.but with only one angle.
1st off Suggs is going up to block a pass while the blocker is pushing him to the side. When his hand comes down, it only comes down on the QB's shoulder.
The biggest thing is there is no violent hit by Sugg's hand on the QB. There is no contact with his helmet. Its more like a pull down. Suggs is actually slowing his arm down once the pass goes by.
This ref robbed us. This is just sh*t.
Hey don't think all these refs dont talk together. If theres one ref say in the pissburg melt down, and he comes to Baltimore, dont think they are not talking about us to each other. How we are disrespectful. But that was just one game.
They are definietly bias.
We just got bent over and screwed on what was the last drive of the team that was losing to Baltimore.

Moments before this terrible call, Carollo and Harbaugh were having a heated argument on the Ravens sideline. Obviously, this was a payback, but like everything else, the NFL will sweep it under the rug!
