Either Marcus Hamilton should be cut or Bob Babich fired. The pass completion was the only one possible to get Atlanta into field goal range. Their only other option was one hail mary pass.

Don't blame the timekeeper. This was their home field. I would expect the Soldier Field timekeeper to never help the opposition.

The one big positive was Kyle Orton. This guy is developing into a very good quarterback. Could you imagine how good he would be with decent wide receivers?

A win over Minnesota this Sunday could cure a lot of ills. The Bears are in the drivers seat in the NFC North with their perfect (1-0) record in the division

Time to shut up, own up, and respect a team that beat you. That is why you fan base is full of losers. Instead of ever admitting you got beat you blame anybody and everybody. It's the ref, it's Bartmann, it's the goat, bad coaching, Rex, a fluke, a miracle, the clock keeper, cheating, ad infinitum.
The real miracle is finding a fan in Chicago that has a clue about football and isn't some blind ignorant homer!
LOOOOSERS!
You can find these fan's all over Chicago - they're called Packer Fans!
Chicago's fairweather "fans" are a bunch of whiners and crybabies.

I can see how gracious all Packer fans must be in defeat if this is how you act on a Bears message board toward another team's fan base after your team has an identical record. Who's the loser? BTW I listened to plenty of excuses from my Packer fan friends over the years. You guys are no different.

I'm tired of this whole we "we lose one game and the season's over" Jesus compared to last year we are a better team. Orton and the offense are rolling and Forte is as good as advertised. I'm just so tired of people acting so pessimistic and saying were the worst team in the nation and were the celler of the NFC North. Who is in our division that's a real contender. Detroit?!!?(LOL) Minnesota and their quarterback Grandpa Gus!! Green Bay and the Aaron Rodgers show. We are a serious contender so John Mullin and Jay Mariotti just Shut up!!1

Fire Babich before it is too late. He obviously does not know what he is doing. Lovie needs to call the defensive plays the rest of the year like some head coaches call the offensive plays (with their stupid big card in front of them I might add). This team should not be 3-3. It is 3-3 because of poor coaching strategies during the game. They put their players in bad situations. Result: three bad, bad losses.

If Angelo or Smith had any testes, they would have called Babich into their Ivory tower and fired Babich. Tampa and ATL games.....97 drop backs; 0 sacks. That my friends, is horrible ROI with these overpaid prima donnas. Babich MUST be the fall guy. 3 losses in which we led late in the 4th qtr.

Every coach in the NFL would have called that squib, and I WILL kiss Mrs. McCaskey's feet if I ever meet her -she is football ROYALTY.
Babich didn't blow the game -Mike Brown didn't cover his guy, plain and simple.
And settle down, the Bears will probably win this pathetic division.
ORTON KICKED ****!!
dude, who the f**k r u? Ur on here trying to answer everyone's comment like u got some kind of answers. People get on here to blow steam and let their opinions out, not so some know it all with nothing better to do try to act like he's got all the answers. As someone else pointed out, no other teams in that type of situation have squibbed it this year. So stop trying to pretend that you got all the answers, get off of this blog, and go get a life.

I'm fed up with this underperforming DEFENSE:

Here's my assessment:

1) Urlacher--underperforming his contract...BAD signing, would have traded him to NE on draft day for their number 1 or 2.

2) Vasher--can't tackle and is injury prone.

3) Tilman--makes waaay to many penalties and is injury prone.

4) Harris....mental case, injury prone, no longer a Pro Bowler and at having the biggest contract in Bear history, is a BUST!

5) M Brown--has lost 3 steps and is no longer a difference maker.

6) Alex Brown--decent

7) Wale Ogunleye--takes plays off and some games he just disappears, for his contract...a bust.

8) Dusty Dvorcek--injury prone but having a decent "first year"

9) Dannieal Manning--injury prone, can't cover one on one, for a high 2nd rnd pick, a bust.

10) Hunter Hillenmeyer--smart guy, slow, can't cover one on one

11) Lance Briggs--can't believe the Bears resigned him.....he's having the best year of any Bear on D this season after 6 games.

Bob Babich--company man who Lovie picked because he will go along with any of Lovie's stupid game plans....i.e. a cheap, paper puppet.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, call on the squib kick. The Defense was horrible and the special teams were horrible. The Bears almost stole this one, but that damn squib kick....... i will never understand that call....
Hmmm just last year we lost to the Vikings because we DIDN'T squib kick.

Seems that if something doesn't go exactly as planned, fans will be furious no matter what.

Did Anybody notice that on the very last kickoff to the Falcons that the clock did not start until atleast 3 seconds after the falcons had the ball?

I plan to make either Gus Frerrotte or Tarvaris Jackson look like an All Pro. Eh, what the heck. I'll make 'em both look like geniuses. I know, I know, you may think I'm an idiot, but I work hard at my loser schemes.

Of course, being the product of inbreeding certainly helps, too.

Rex didn't carry the team in 2006 or WIN the Superbowl! The defense did then, what it seemingly can't get done now; Win games!
That's old history, get over it!
Last year Rex was given multiple opportunities to get the job done and stank up the NFL with his inability to handle real pass rushers. Orton never once was rattled and performed perfectly under pressure. That's not what happened last year, with Rex at the helm!
Hey Ram Rod, You must have flunked reading comprehension. Reread and try again. Too bad about facts.

Lovie Smith actually called for a long kickoff, but Steve Bartman snuck on the field and sqibbed it. Then he ran upstairs to control the clock. THE CURSE OF BARTMAN!!!!!!!!!!
