Graham Harrell, the legend. Was Graham Harrell to blame for the typical "bad loss"? I think we can all point to one loss, Oklahoma, that was a bad loss, but not as we have typically defined the "bad loss" in ...

GH was is no way responsible for the loss to OU, which costed Tech's reputation with the national media (driven by politics in BCS) to tumble.
This, in turn, costed Tech's #2 ranking to forever stay at #7 under USC and Utah into bowl season.
It costed Tech's chance at the Big12 championship in the event of the three way tie, and their spot in a BCS bowl game.
Harrell was one of the 22 players on the field to be blown out. Mostly, it was the defense first, the usually inpenetrable offensive line second.

Now,#7 Texas Tech plays a #25 Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl, still a reasonably important game.
Graham Harrell’s shot at history, 131+ career TDs passing record
Texas Tech history, 12-1 season
Big 12’s chance to face SEC defenses, Cotton and NC are the only two Big12vsSEC matchups
Tech’s last game to end on highER note.#1 in 2009?
Tech’s shot to beat the team that beat Florida, 31-30

Okay, Raider fans, colonelreb threw a challenge! Guns up. Wreck 'em, Raiders!

Graham Harrell and his receiver are awesome together. And, even more important, they have real class.

Ole Miss may surprise Tech in this game. Tech is not used to playing against defenses that are this good. I do think Tech is the better team, but they better show up or they're going home with a loss.

one hour from now....

WATCH THE FRONT LINES.
The Tech offensive line is full of talent, but the Mississippi defensive front is impressive as well.

GUNS UP RED RAIDERS!!!!

it seems the red raiders play best when they are understimated. they have been the underdog in every game since October.

Against Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma State, and of course Oklahoma. They won 11 games that way and lost one mammoth to a superior team with their playbook in their back pocket.

Now, against another underrated Ole Miss, its even. Again, I see Tech picked as a SLIGHT underdog. They are picked to win, but not by much. They are even picked to lose by a hair in some circles. It will be a rout.

Hitting the other team, ripping off their own helmets to show freaky makeup, yelling at the officials after already losing the game.

Man, I'd like to see what you consider low class behavior.

oof!

that was below the belt. I am so depressed.

the worst of all was how my beloved offensive line acted. they must have hung out with the Cowboys all week

Man, no doubt on the hanging with Cowboys.

I wish I could say with arrogant certainty how bad my Horns will beat Ohio St....but I fear the reprisal if something goes wrong, as it often does when betting on 2-legged animals.

Can't say I don't know how you feel after the Cotton Bowl, happens to me about half the time after the First weekend in October when we play OU.

Make sure to eat a Salt Lick plate or two for me, been too long since I've spent much time in Austin.

yeah, it's impossible to depend on your own bias to win in football, i guess
but this fiesta should go the Longhorn way, but he way things have been going....who knows?

I think I'm destined for the cardiologist after that game.

So I guess I'm descended to the depths of voting for a close OU victory. Geez, talk about kissing your sister.

I tell ya it was down to the end... a great game.

Even with all the talk about Big 12 No Defense and the power D's of teh SEC...
I have to say, the best games would be made of this. Still Florida has the same edge as Ohio State in that they have better defense and play hard grittier football, plus they have a veteran QB. Whereas, OSU had a freshman and their trickerish ways to throw the big12 defense for a loop. But I need my Big 12 to look good in 3D theaters across America on Thursday

GH is a choke artist....at best a 3rd string qb in the nfl.if he even gets a shot with his weak arm.snead has a rocket launcher, even though all of yalls offensive linemen hold every play.gh will crumble.notice how they called one play when he was behind center and it ended up a safety.he has no potential.pistols up raider fans.colonel reb came to town.
