I have to say I was excited to get out and see the old boys at the game after getting stuck with the wife for 8 months in solitary. I was impressed with Y.Bell and if he stays healthy we will have a much improved team. He doesnít look like he lost a step and he was always heading in the right direct for the ball. He still has that mean hard tackling skills that create turnovers.

I like what the new head coach was doing during the game. He coached or motivated players coming off the field. Some players tried going to the other end of where the coach was when coming off the field and that didnít happen he tracked them down. One player show boated after a stop and he got coached after returning to the sideline. I donít think Jason Taylor would have fit it with this bunch because his ego might have been hurt when returning to the sideline. Maybe thatís one of the reasons he had to go. I watched Langford the DE a couple of downs and he plays till the whistle sounds, he was knocked to the ground and he was out of the play completely but he got up and he hustled back toward the play till the whistle sounded.

I really think this defense is going to be a top tier defense. They have a front seven that is very big, at times it looked like they had 7 small DL in the front seven. You could see the opposing OL had trouble or were confused who to block. I saw DEís dropping back into coverage while the LB rushed. The DEís got a lot of coaching on the sidelines.

Tootsies had some new girls and I was totally bumed having to go home after my night out with the boys.

I would love to watch the tv replay of the game, anyone know what channel and time?

wow Henne looked good against a vanilla defense with no blitzing and no pressure

McCown has to be the odd man out. Beck played well, he looks much more confident out there and faster with his decision making on throws. Henne showed some great arm strength and good mobility, he really was very quick on his feet. I hope he can lead us to the promise land in the next 10 years! Pennington s definately an upgrade over McCown, if he were free when we signed Josh the obvios choice would have been Penny. We may not have scored enough but it was encouraging to me to see all our new players perform decently.
There is finally hope for the Phins, and a playoff run may come sooner than later!!

Henne will never get to play unless Pennington gets hurt. The most likely scenario is that the Dolphins will acquire Brett Farve next year after drafting yet another quarterback. We long suffering Dolphin fans have been to this play before - several times.

McCown and Beck most likely will get cut as the Fins can pick another veteran to back up as final cuts are made. Those two were miserable last night and McCown is proven loser, if he is threat to be a starter the Fins are looking at an 0-16 season

If the preseason is any indication of what's to come. It's going to be a long year.

Darden you have you even seen the game? You're a bias whiner. Beck managed the game just fine against a very good D. His lone sack and fumble was on a corner blitz by Barber who's da_n good at it. Our starting WR's better wake up.

Beck isn't going anywhere, and if you think the team will start him, and then throw the 2nd round pick away after 5 games now you're clueless.

Hey Kevin, How did Porter and Holiday play? Oh yeah...they didn't.

How'd Ricky look? Like the Ricky of old. Think he'd help the outcome playing the entire game? Uh yeah...

Chill...it's practice against another team.

Sparano better hitch himself to the right quaterback...and quick or else he will be run out of town along with the guys that failed before him. South Florida has not been kind to coaches with 'staches.

Henne looked good against a vanilla defense and no blitzing? I am scratching my head because it sure looked like Chad stepped up in the pocket against the blitz to hit Kircus on the skinny post driving for the field goal.

For a rookie Chad Henne looked pretty poised, showed good pocket awareness and throw the ball on a rope downfield. By far Henne has the strongest arm in Dolphins camp and even though his passes sailed a little his receivers were able to make plays.

Ask any receiver and they will tell you they want a QB that delivers the ball with consistent velocity over a QB that changes it up. Henne looked consistent with his throws and is building confidence with the receivers.

Chad Pennington may be in Miami as more of a player/coach/mentor/back-up for Henne as long as the rookie keeps playing well.

Considering the Dolphins didn't play Porter and Holiday, I thought the starting defense looked pretty solid but the starting offense sputtered. I think if you put Henne at QB and let Ricky Williams start in place of Ronnie the starting offense will be good. However, once you get past the starters it appears the talent level really drops off. This offseason via draft and free agency the Dolphins will need to add a WR and depth along the OL/DL.

The 3rd preseason game will show us what the 2008 Dolphins will look like.

It is obvious that all the people who have negative comments about the game and the dolphins are bandwagon jumpers and not a true fan of the fins or they just did not watch the game. Beck will be fine there were a lot of promising things that happened last night with the young players I think this team can at least be a 8-8 team so people either be a true fan get on the wagon or get off simple as that.

The only way these scrubs could go 8-8 is if they traded their entire team for the Pats or Giants team.......they stink bad.

Beck got his first and only start last night. As the preseason goes on we will see more Henne and McCown with Pennington sprinkle in. I would not be surprised if Beck is traded or released as he does not fit the Dolphins' scheme and is suited to the "West Coast" offense.
