I think he needs to concentrate on Football now and until they start winning a few games. Then he can do whatever he wants. I'm a wrestling fan too, but he does not belong there during the season, especially with the way they have been playing.

Could care less...players are free to do what they want on their 'off' day, so long as it is not detrimental to the team.

Im a Steelers fan as well as a WWE fan, but Ben and the o-line need to worry bout football. The whole team acts like everyone should just lay down for them, just like in 05, and its could get worse if they dont get their heads outta their asses!

didn't say it was, he commented on "smart".
A. not smart to NOT wear a helmut
B. not smart for a multi-million dollar athlete to take part in things that could potentially mame them (skiing, motorcycling etc). Most teams write these exclusions into a contract.

With that said, I agree, if it's his off day, whats the big deal? Someone said he needs to concentrate on football. he does this probably 85% of his waking hours. In the 15% of time he has to himself, is attending this event anymore distracting than reading a book, going to the movies etc? I think not. Everyone needs a release and I don't mean some Casino employee in NV either.

They are allowed a day off and to do as they please on that day as long as it doesn't impact the team or is detrimental to the team. Are you saying the players can't spend time w/family on their day off?

I agree it wasn't smart not to wear a helmet...but accidents happen. It wasn't a law at the time, plus, he was on his way to the Southside practice facility and someone hit him.

after living and riding a motorcycle myself in PA for many years, I can't believe the lawmakers changed the law.

i agree to a point but everyone needs to take a breather. I hope they are doing everything they can to right the mistakes from the past 3 games.(there were a ton in the week 1 win too!)

i kind of see it as putting darwin's theory to the test. the stupid people weed themselves out of the gene pool. the thing I dislike the most about the law is that it's proven to raise insurance costs if you have more injuries and you get more injuries if you don't wear a helmet and get in an accident... they make you wear a seat belt in a car but you can ride a bike at 65mph and not wear a helmet....strange indeed.

head trauma could cost Millions to insurance carriers. Someone laid up for a month in the hospital is looking at a major bill.
