I hate the fact that the Steelers have stooped to the level of having a mascot. The Steelers are the Steelers. They always will be the OLD Steelers. No Mascot, No Cheerleaders and none of the other side show freaks. I can only imagine that if the Steelers start losing, it will be blamed on good ole Steely. Get rid of the "Smo" now. Put that money towards something useful, like new towels for the receivers......That should help right away.

Steely needs to be thrown into a closet until Bill Cowher signs with a team to coach. Dress Steely up in the uniform of Bill's new team and smash him with a Steel beam!!! The marshmallow headed Steely looks too much like Bill Cowher.

I'm not sure if old Steely will get the blame for any Steelers losses, but I do agree that the mascot looks, and is, ridiculous. However, I wish I would have named it. The person that came up with that stupid name gets to go to a home game and sit in the VIP box. I wonder how bad the other names were for that one to win.
