draft draft draft and continue to draft draft draft..

Omar,
This may be a bit off topic but does involve trade scenarios. Looking at the order in round 1, I worry about Bellicheat picking a few spots ahead of us. Specifically, I've done some mocks where Maualuga has slipped to NE. I target Philly as a team that loves to trade and is 2 spots before NE. Question is, what would it take (as far as pick compensation) for us to swap spots with Philly if the need arises and Do you think Parcells would try this if a guy like Muauga is there? I think he'd be a perfect pickup for us. |

what happens when ferguson goes down and we've traded soliai away? or are you just automatically assuming that the fins take a NT in the draft that will be able to play immediately. also, you forgot about the little matter of wilfords salary. i don't think a team is looking to take on a big salary like that instead of taking a chance in the 7th round. ndukwe should be in the fire sale section. thank you for not suggesting ricky in your article. shows you have a speck of intelligence!!!

Matt Roth a big ticket item? He is too stiff in the hips and plays the run well....thats about it. I don't seem him still as a dolphin after this season unless he improves dramatically.
Ronnie Brown is someone worth keeping....he is a huge piece of the puzzle for this team contending for a superbowl in two years. Lifespan of a running back is short if your "THE GUY" at running back.....this and most teams are not like that anymore. Splitting time in the soon to be 18 game regular season is more important than ever... Keep Ronnie Brown |

What in the world would give you the thought that the dolphins would even consider trading their best player? Are you kidding me? For what for an unproven rookie RB who might end up being the next Salaam or KiJana Carter? Give me a break!
This is the type of reporting that creates garbage rumors for no apparent reason. Yes, it is true the tri-fecta is looking for more picks, but trading Brown this year, no matter what his salary may be, will happen when pigs fly my friend. |

I can't see Brandon London getting traded, he's my hope for a #1 wr already being on the team. I think he's going to cause Bess to lose a lot of playing time this yr, unless Camarillo isn't ready to go. My prediction is London will be our #1 before we break camp.

Where's Peezy? He should be on this list. He should be numero uno on this list. He is making mad jack, we could get someone cheaper (like J.T.) and easily get a 2 or 3 for J.P.

I wouldn't mind if they traded any of those guys, but damn, they better get good value in return for Brown. Late 1st round? early 2nd & 3rd this year? 2nd in '09 and '10? Late 2nd this year and a 1st next year? I dunno, but better be good value.

How are Will and Jason Allen listed? We just going to play this whole season without cornerbacks? Are they really putting this much faith in Eric Green, whom the Cardinals lousy secondary didn't even want?
|

Yes, add Joey Porter to "Big Ticket Item" and slide Matt Roth down the list.
I don't think Jason Allen has much trade value, so I would slide him down too. Also, who thinks Will Allen is one of the best 15 corners in the league? Seems top 30 would be a stretch to me, even though I think he is really good. Wilford does not have much value due to his inability to hit the field in '08, but that has more to do with the fact that Sparano showed preference towards special teams players - Hagan might still be a decent player for someone as a free agent, but he took up a spot for a developmental player who could also contribute on special teams. As far as Wilford on a draft night trade for a seventh rounder? I think it is possible, because the Dolphins would eat up his bonus and the other team could have a non-guaranteed contract on their hands, if I am not mistaken. |

We should trade Jake Long.Ronnie Brown,and Ted Ginn for #1 picks in 2010-11-12.Cuz we are rebuilding.

If Miami can trade any of those on the list, DO IT! Bring in a bunch of undrafted free agents to
compete for jobs. Miami might find some more gems in the rough. |

Don't be surprised if the Dolphins trade Ronnie Brown. Seeing that he's a highly productive, Pro Bowl running back, who runs, blocks and catches well, he's got high value. And, as the article mentions, he's going to be very expensive to retain when his contract is up. Joined with the fact that a great offensive line can make even an average running back look good, trading Brown is in the cards (perhaps the Arizona Cardinals?).
As for Jason Allen, maybe we can get Washington to give us decent exchange for him. Afterall, Daniel Snyder seems to pay premium prices where other teams won't pay bubkis. |

What he just said plus; Think about who we traded away last year, Booker, he was expendable Ronnie is not... "O" you should have added Cobbs to the list (unless I missed it) he can produce for another team that might use him more, and Im sure we would get more than a 7th at the least a high 5th...GO PHINS!!! |

I can't bring myself to play devil's advocate here. I see only 3 of the 10 mentioned here as potential candidates to be traded for a meaningful pick. Among them is NOT Ronnie Brown.
Here's the answer to Ireland's want for more picks: we are trading down for more picks at some point in the draft. GO PHINS!!! |
||||
Hagan? Wasn't he a NY Giant last year? |
||||

Beck? Who the Fudge want him? Cna't even hold on to the ball, haha

We are rebuiling... What in the world do you think Jake long was. If you were actually being serious I will have you know that he was the very 1st piece in this rebuilding project...GO PHINS!!! |

If The Dolphins trade Ronnie B ,I will question their sanity. He has not been given enough carries and has always had a piss poor O-Line.
