If you are indeed his brother-in-law, then please remind him of this:
Being an NFL player comes with certain responsibilities. He represents not only himself and his family, but his team, the fans and the NFL. It takes a bigger and better man to maintain a sense of dignity and maturity in a situation like that. Maybe the guy DID 'have it coming'(of course, that can be interpreted in a number of ways), but that's no excuse for poor judgement and violent, illegal behavior. He can save that for the field -- where he's PAID (and paid well) to be violent.
If it's an isolated incident and he learns from it, more power to him. If it becomes a pattern, then he needs to address that, and soon, before he ruins his life.
One other thing - if you are indeed his BIL - I'd love to know what his bosses said to him. It's probably not far off from what I said...and then some.
I do wish him well.
Well when i find out what he is told by the coach and upper management i will let you know i agree with what you said i was just getting tired of reading all the foul mouthed comments and raciest comments
i know he's in a position to be a role model and is expected to to carry himself as one but like i said he is human and he made a bad choice and now he will have to deal with the court and most likly a law suit. it may be worth it for victim i would let him hit me for a hundred thou.

This isn't the end of humanity. He made a regrettable mistake, will be forced to man up and face the consequences, and will be a better person because of it. Pretty soon this will be behind him and forgotten. I agree with Jeff. Channel the agression toward the playing field and the Bart Scotts of the world.

Here's to the best all around. Please let us know.

And I get tired of the nasty comments, too. The only colors I'm interested in are aqua and orange.

i feel like alot of ppl are hateing and talkin shit becuse they believe they can, lets face it if it was a normal man with a normal job u wouldnt have shit to say, but becuz it is a NFL player u have are the words in the world to say u are no better then anyone else.. and we all make mistakes.. if any of u where put in his postion prob would have done the same thing, so what the man got puched in the face.. owell not ur problem and for u to sit here and judge becuz ur so high and mighty is not okay.. so with that being said ppl who live in glass house should not throw stones.. and yes JUDGE lets make a fool out of the nfl player.. u should be worried about the ppl u put back out streets, the ones u rap are childern and feed them drugs... really ppl they got into a fight u only know one half of the storie... know the hole storie befor u feel like u have the right to open ur mouth.. thats only fair.
