If this incident occurred exactly as stated then this offender should be banned from professional sports as this is NOT simple battery, two people arguing over a parking spot, etc. This might even rise to aggravated battery, a felony, if the fullback is powerful enough to seriously injury his innocent victim. Being hit so hard as to be rendered unconscious probably results in some permanent and/or serious injury.

Attacking a completely innocent person in a public parking lot is way outside the "normal" range of human aggression. If the Dolphins retain this person and he attacks anyone again the team will be looking at serious liability.

I'm so sick of these losers who are paraded out there as 'professionals' and paid obscene amounts of money to play a game.

They are losers who pull stunts like this, get a slap on the wrist, and then the team keeps them on.

You can't tell me that there is a lot of talent out there who know how to be a professional and roll model and conduct themselves like it out in the world.

There should be league AND team rules to GET RID of trash like this. They can't even use the lame excuse that he's such a valuable player, like that other piece of garbage loser Ricki Williams they keep taking back, since the DOLPHINS SUCK.

The entire team is made up of trash and should be disbanded. Thanks Wayne for your garbage.

Two blocks from Cleveland Clinic, and they take the victim downtown to Broward General?

I hope he's okay, and I hope Reagan gets his clock cleaned. Was he overpoured?

This guy was on something. He had to be. Roid Rage could very well be it. Whatever it is, it is inexcusable. Very Immature at best.
To respond to Freedom From Bush's statements, regarding Ricky Williams, if you for one minute think what Ricky Williams did in any way relates, or is equalivent to what Mauia did, then you are IGNORANT at best.

6th rd. draft choice punches a guy in the face in front of multiple witnesses and the leaves the scene. Mental midget - cut him. Rathman, Schlesinger, Lorenzo Neal, etc... - don't recall these guys punching anybody in the face and the field that is. Loser...and not that good.

Football players & beer dont mix. It seems like 99% of the time that they get in trouble is when they are out drinking. Stay home and drink, or risk losing your NFL career young men...GO PHINS!!!

I look for Parcells to make an example of this idiot by cutting him.

Then Mauia can set about his true life's work-eating until he weighs 400 pounds.

We're only hearing one side of the story. My opinion, Mr Gianatassio was acting like a chump and finally got what he deserved! Lesson number one to all you people in Florida: Don't mess with Samoans!

Guy was talkin' chit huh???

Certainly gives the right to punch, push, shove or knock out doesn't it???

Guy does that, then runs away and then denies even being there???

Who is the wuss??? Sounds like he can't even own up to his own actions; I would say he is the wuss.

The guy never impressed me anyway... CUT HIM BILL!!!

Testees; you ought to learn what it takes to be a real man. It ain't about running away dude; it's standing your ground for what you believe in, respecting others and having accountability for your own actions. It has nothing to do with who is bigger or meaner.
