Dishonorable to the end, he refused to face his accusers. The very fact that he decried the impeachment process as unfair, yet accepted Illinois' constitution as fair by accepting the office of governor demonstrates his disdain for that constitution and so the rightness of the verdict. Why Illinois voters didn't toss this man out in previous elections when several of his cronies had been removed and convicted makes me really wonder what is going on in Illinois. Did people really think about this guy when they voted for him?

hey, what does he have to worry about? He's now a bona fide celebrity and no doubt already has a multi-million dollat book deal in the works. Probably a movie deal too. It's all about the money....who cares about pride, dignity, or self-respect anymore?

Having a house in Illinois I'd like everyone to know that we have more ex-governors in prison that any other state in the union. LOL.

Blago signed the Smoke Free Illinois Act. He lost 20 to 25 percent of any possible support among Illinois adults with that stroke of his pen. Had he vetoed that law perhaps he could have built majority support among the citizens and thus defeated his impeachment via popular support, like the cigar-using President Clinton did.

There smoldering hate will blister up over this act of justice for years and years..

By this time next week ol Blackobych will be a boy scout according to them.

Well, he's gone. At least from the Governor's Office. He had no support, nobody speaking up for him, virtually nobody protesting on his behalf. Whatever good he did, he didn't connect with people. On to the trial. Then the Greybar Hotel.

Look for the Lt Governor to raise taxes and do that dirty work. Then next year look for Lisa Madigan, the Attorney General, to become Governor with tax money to spend on what it gets spent on.

Life goes on.
