Jul 17, 2013 Full story: Rant Sports 85

The Minnesota Vikings have had an interesting offseason. Starting it off by trading All Pro wideout Percy Harvin away didn't bode well right away.

Jennings is smart guy. Go to a team with no WRs to be the one and only target and make more money at the same time. Job security for the coming years. Or stay in GB and face diminishing targets and opportunities as the Packers move along with a plethora of weapons.

My self I think Jennings was much like Harvin in a way that he could have got back on the field last season but didn't feel like risking his future health for a team he no longer wanted to play for.

So in your opinion the vikings brought in a 30 yr old injury prove quitter that only plays if he feels like it. I disagree.

What stupid thing to say.

1. It is very insulting to Jennings to compare his desire to play during an injury to another player that might not have wanted too play becuase he didn't like his team. Obviously you don't know much about Jennings.
How the F would you know if he didn't want to play rtard? I'll fill you in -- YOU DON'T

2. You are labeling Jennings as a quitter, as a viking fan I would be very worried about trading one quitter for another. You should be downright pissed off if you think Jennings is a quitter, you should hate the vikings bringing him in if you thought that.

3. you are ezg the valor stealing scum bag POS.

4. He was going to be a FA the next year, missing as few games as possible, after a full recovery, is probably in his best interest. He needs to play to earn his new contract.

What do you mean the one and only target?Wright did pretty well at the end of the season.Rudolph was a phenom.Carlson was a good tightend at Seattle but he was injured last year this year hes fine,we have enough guys now that if Simpson doesnt work out we can put in Webb or Theilin.Just because Patterson is raw doesnt mean he wont get allot of action.I havent counted Childs out yet either but he'll probably start out on the pup.Jennings injuries werent serious,he'll be fine.If you really look at it James Jones only had one good year,a couple years ago you were trying to get rid of him.Jordy Nelson has missed how many games lately?Who else missed time last year,oh ya Randall Cobb.Dont count youre chickens before they hatch.LMAO

Oh yeah I dont want to leave out that besides being a great blocker Rhett Ellison is also pretty good at catching the ball.Lets face it the Pack are going to have to play some of their rookies also.Might work out might not.

Packers WRs have already hatched, and have a proven track record of production.

Games missed 2011 + 2011
Jennings 11 (8+3)
Nelson 4 (0+4)
Cobb 1 (0+1)
Jones 0 (lol)
More than double by your star WR… just saying.. don’t cry about it

You are right Rudolph is a good target.
Now they have 2 targets 

The others are unproven have not done anything.

FYI
Carlson didn’t play in 2011 and did nothing in 2012 or 2011. He did play “ok” in a few games in 09 for SEA
Webb has never played WR in the NFL
Simpson was a let down, injured and a let down, did I mentin let down?
Wright ‘slot guy’ was ok in limited action, I suspect he will see limited action again with Jennings and Patterson probably playing slot too.
Theliein? Whatever.. lol who?
Childs has no knees probably will never play in the NFL again, good kid but his knees are sh**(3 major knee surgieries in 2 yrs)

Cobb is a rising star – go ask someone if you don’t know about him and shame on you for not knowing.
Jones – lead the NFL in TDs last year
Nelson - 3rd in TDs 2011, 9th in yrds 2011
Jones and Nelson are great outside guys btw. GREAT!

The thing is the Packers WRs have PROVEN themselves to be productive, they are not a “wait and see bunch” like the vast majority of the vikings WR corps. I think the vikes will have to add a vet WR on the outside, they need to. Keep your eye on the waiver wire... seriously

BP if you don't want to hear it from me about the Packers WRs being very good go listen to the Jenning's First Take interview and everything he has to say about them. Do you disagree with viking Greg or just packer fans?

He also pretty much through the other vikings WRs under the bus and said ponder has had no help. This came from a viking, a viking, not a packer fan, but an actualy living breathing viking! Oh gosh...

Don't forget that even IF the Vikings find some good receivers, they will not have an Aaron Rodgers throwing the football to them, they will have Christian Ponder or Matt Cassel throwing the ball. ROFLMAO

BTW I agree with the Viking player when he says that the Packer receivers are good and that the Viking receivers are not. The Viking fans should listen to their player instead of themselves.

Funny how that works isn't it? Do they now think that hey no more than Jennings about the WR situation in GB and MN? I suppose they do. Silly & Sad.

Viking fans refuse to listen to Packer fans yet their star WR agrees with what we Packer fans are trying to help them understand. It is as though their brains (or lack thereof) are already preset to believe something they WISH was true. The vikes WRs could hold a press conference and say "we suck" and the viking fans around here would just delete from their memories as if nothing had happened. They are a silly bunch aren’t they?

It seems that stupidity and delusional thinking are necessary for most people to be Viking fans. It makes sense if you think about their history.

Thank you for not leaving out good old Rhett Elison!!!!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!! GO Rhett...he is almost a household name!

It would be such a shame to leave him out after listing all the other “soon to be” outstanding super stars you mentioned previously. Seems the completely unproven bunch is destined for stardom, even without and rhyme, reason, wisdom, or supporting facts behind it!

"Ranking against the rest of the NFC North: 1. Packers; 2. Lions; 3. Bears; 4. Vikings"

Where do you get this from wow That wasn't what I said at all! I said Jennings & Harvin could have got back on the field, Meaning faster but why risk re-injurying himself for a team that didn't give him a new contract. or was using him like he wanted. I did think I needed to spell it out for you But in the future I will try to remember lol That should be cleareven for you! Your always trying to start some argument, Stop trying to say things im not saying. You always come to the wrong conclusion, lol Proof of whats said about packers fans lol.

First of all you can't spell very well so don't try and spell anything out for me.

You said you think Jennings is a quitter like Harvin is... and didn't want to get back on the field after being healthy and that is just stupid (for the many reasons I mentioned). Now you want to try and cover it after sounding like a dickhead. To late dickhead you already wrote it. lol!

Why would you want Jennings on the team if he is an injury prone quitter like Harvin who plays if he feels like it? Doesn't sound like smart pick up to me. You should be pissed.

I said that Jones had 1 good year. How many games did Nelson and Cobb miss last year?I think it was 4 games each.Im excited about the Vikings recievers. Were the best off weve been since 09.Childs will be back..His single leg press is 225 pounds and 500 pounds on the double leg press with those shot knees.Hes looking good.Carlson has been awesome in otas.Simpson will be much better with Jennings and Wright to draw coverage. The Vikings certainly arent going to put up the numbers the Packers do cause we dont pass that often. We dont need to.As far as the Packers you have to figure that either Nelson or Cobb will miss at least 4 games and then youll have to play Boykin which is far more important when passing is youre bread and butter.Who do you have behind them?HA HA HA

Rhett Ellison will be a pro bowler.Hes one of the primary reasons Peterson got 2000 yards.Hes the workhorse blocking tightend that you dont have..Way better than Kuhn or Finley.Plus hes got good hands and can catch the ball as well.

Youre the one thats delusional if you think youre olines going to be top rated just by shifting players.Sitton has never played left guard and Bulaga has short arms for a left tackle.Sherrod may never play again.TJ Lang and Newhouse got dominated by everyone as well as Barclay. You Packers fans are the most delusional of all.Jennings and Macmillian are questionable safeties.
