If we win Sunday night against the Redskins (I expect that we will pretty much crush them), that will give us 10 victories for the season. Knowing that Jacksonville is commimg in here the last game of the year, and after missing the Superbowl last year by just a couple of plays that they will just lay down. Don't want to get hurt, just want to go home. So the way I see it if New England loses just 1 of their remaining 4 we are in. Of course the Ravens are going for the division title and that requires winning 3 of 4 and beating the Steelers by 4 or more points. ISN'T IT EXCITING. GO RAVENS!

Unfortunatley I think Tom Jackson is all wet! The Patriots have a patty cake schedule the rest of the way and the Ravens have one of the most difficult finishing schedules in the league. The Ravens will win 2 of their next 4 games and just finish out of the wild card, that doesn't mean it wasn't a great year for them , they will just not make the playoffs even with a great record!

You New Freedom people are so wishie-washie. You can't rain on this parade, bud. We are in great position and playing better than ever in Ravens history. We are a football team playing meaningful, hard-nosed, intergerity laced games in December. The thrills and chills of GOOD football. As a fan I can ask for NO more. Hur-Ruh! Go Ravens!

I am just happy they are talking playoffs for the Ravens. Even my best case scenario wishes wouldn't have predicted this. December football with a shot at the playoffs. Go Ravens!!

You gotta love sports "journalists". Did Tom Jackson really just say that the Steelers showed other teams how to beat the Patriots by getting pressure on Cassel? Does he think that getting to Cassel wasn't in other teams' game plans? I'm pretty sure that every defense that's faced the Patriots would loved to have sacked Cassel a dozen times...but none were as successful in reaching him as the Steelers.

Dear Santa,

For Christmas I would like 3 consecutive Steelers losses (Dallas, Ravens and Tenn.) with a half dozen or so Big Ben INTs and a nasty case of turf toe for James Harrison (nothing disabling, just enough to slow him down a little coming round the corner on pass rushes). I had to endure a 5-11 season last year and have been an extremely good boy.

ROLL ON RAVENS!!!

Even though I am a Steelers fan, much respect for those Ravens. Man, they are tough, and it makes a great season when they are in the thick of it with the Steelers!
This is by far the most exciting season I have witnessed in a long time. Look at the Ravens and Steelers finishing schedules. Awesome. We got head to head, cowboys, titans. Man this is what it's all about.
I live for this time of yr!
I'd love to wear my Steelers jersey to the game next week, but a little worried bout the fall out. Are you Ravens fans brutal on us Steelers fans? Lat thing I need is to get my a$$ beat in Baltimore!

Matt, fair article, but the best advice that I can give you about coming to the game 12-14 is to just stay home.

I am as optimistic as anybody, and I love that Skins fans have been so quiet, but I can't help but be worried that the Ravens might fall victim to the unholy trinity that has been their achilles heel:

1. Ravens are heavily favored to win
2. Game is in prime time
3. Ravens wear all black unis

Please lets just take care of business Sunday so that I can deal with all of the Skins fans around my neck of the woods.

It just does not get any beter than this. Ravens playing meaningful games in December! Awesome baby! Big win this week against the Skins. Begger game next week against the Steelers. Man, I never expected this to happen so soon. I really figured this season a growing season for Flacco, RIce and co., but they came to play this year!! Sorry for Boller and Smith, but their being un able to play was the best thing that could of happened to the Ravens. Defense is playing with a purpose and also with more discipline. GO Ravens!!

LOL. These are two teams that should be feared around the league! I am tired of hearing the crap about the NFC East being the best division.

It may be true, but our AFC North has two killer defenses that know how to bring the wood! It's not our fault we're stuck with two Ohio teams with bad coaching!

The Cowgirls are going to lose to both the Steelers and the Ravens!

The Battle of the Beltway will prove the Redskins are only hype!

The Titans are about to get a bad taste in their mouths too!

I predict Steelers vs Ravens in the palyoffs, winner of that game goes to bowl!

It will be NY Giants vs. AFC North in the bowl, and maybe we can put this crap once and for all!

Defense wins Championships!

no love lost between the ravens
and steelers.. this game in baltimore
will determine the afc north champion..

last time up in pittsburgh, the
ravens d dominated the 1rst half,
then a few turnovers and the steelers
rebounded big in the 2nd half..

this one will be the ravens day,
the d will swarm big ben and shut
down their injured running game....

ravens will rule the top of the
afc north in a few weeks.....

Ravens fans are loyal to their town and their team. They are fair and respectful people. Where your black and gold. You will get some razzing, but we are not like the neanderthals in Philadelphia and Oakland... Look me up in section 151

Glad to hear it Ed! I did wear my
Black n Gold in Philly in wk 3, and they were actually fine. But if it were a dallas jersey it woulda been brutal.

Unlike other bastions of 'houliganism", there is actually a zero tolerance level at Ravens Stadium. Go ahead and wear your jersey, but also expect to see some terrible towels set on fire...Even though the Black & Gold won the first matchup, the real question is whether or not the Steelers will get "Beaten Up" like they did in the first meeting. It is rare that you see a Steeler team get bullied, but that's what happened in game 1. all you had to do was look at the shocked expression on the faces of the Steeler faithful, as they saw palyer after player leave the game, some for the entire season. If it happens again, then this time the Ravens will come out on top!
