That's the most bone headed trade I've ever heard of. Cassel and Vrabel for just a second round pick? Somethings rotten in Denmark!

Think money and realize it is almost a good deal. The Vrabel part upsets me though he will be missed on the field and in the lockerroom.

After showing everyone what he can really do it was only a matter of time. They wont seat Brady and Matt cassel is too good to be bench warming on second string.
Good for him! Im a die hard Pats fan and hate to see him go but he deserves to be a first string and not a back up!
he's gonna make himself noticed next year!!!!

Should have traded brady, he will not be as good as years gone by. The fame has gone to his head and now with bad knees he's not going to be as mobile in the pocket limiting his performance. And just maybe they could have gotten a better deal, but good luck to cassel he does deserve a starting role hopefully for him on a winning team.

The Pats couldn't obviously afford to keep 2 franchise quarterbacks. Trading Brady is would be proposterous. He's an MVP who threw 50 touchdowns the season before he got hurt. Cassel had one good season. Every other time I watched him play at Gillette meant it was time to go to the Mardi Gras and dole out some $1s. The Pats usually know what they're doing. I think they wanted to stay away fromanother number 1 pick as it would cost more $$ to sign. This move frees up close to 20 million for free agents, extra draft picks, and current players that have ending contracts (Wilfork, Seymour). Last years pick at linbacker, shows they intend to get younger and faster, especially on defense where Vrable is slowing down. As much as I like Vrable, I want the Pats to win more. Cassel might turn out to be a one hit wonder (John Kitna). Brady will be back and show why he's the face of the franchise. Matt who?

I think its a bad move. Just think how great they could be with two great QBs! They can afford it; the draft?
