I heard Ponder is looking spotty. I'm not one to say I told you so but Viking Nation Ponder is the same as he ever was. Not consistent.

I hear our season crashing down on the back of a weak QB. Can't believe Frazier and Spielman are trying to build their career on this guy.

Matt Cassel also stinks but in my QB rating he is better than Ponder.

Viking Nation I didn't want my QB rating to be right for once. I'm pulling for Ponder but he will have a quick HOOK.

The questioning of Ponder has begun.

With all the stories about Christian Ponder today you would think his friend was found dead in his car like Aaron Hernandez but this is ONLY about his QB play or lack thereof.

Catch Of The Day II
Having the hot hand all day, Ponder rifled a pass down the middle of the field and WR Stephen Burton burst out of nowhere to pluck the ball from thin air and then come down, keep his balance, and finish the play by sprinting across the field toward the left sideline before turning upfield and heading to the end zone.

This is why they practice So come game time you don't have the spotty play Avant

Avant I think this statement said it best ...Observations from these practices should be taken with a grain of salt because there are restrictions set forth by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that limit much of what is accomplished in a typical training camp or regular season practice, and the Vikings abide by those restrictions.

I think you see Ponder had a full day of practice & had a hot hand all day maybe the Spotty play he had was from new plays they was trying out who knows the reason maybe he had just had a bad day every QB has them. Lets get something straight here you picked Tarvaris Jackson & your telling me about understanding the QB position, Come on for real is this a joke.

Never saw TJ play in college I stickly took the word of Brad Childress, and I kicked him to the curb when his play got as bad as Ponder's has.

All the Vikings writers are telling us Ponder hasn't changed. Don't rxpect nothing from him this year and according to Schefty, Cassel will be Vikings QB before season's end but I made that prediction soon as we signed Matt Cassel.

I have been so good at the QB game I have to believe my ratings.

Hay Coach Childress didn't know what he had in his team let alone how to draft. He had a winning team that he let get old with his bad coaching decisions & Jackson was one. I think what you said about Ponder is every thing the sport experts has said about him. What I am saying is things I like about Ponder's game like his short yard accuracy. Avant I know everything that you said is true about him. but I have also seen alot of QB's & Ponder does have a every good short game & that's what needed in the west coast offense. He won MVP in the senior bowl, Not to many QB's can say that. I think we will find out if the experts are right about Ponder this year but I do see something maybe it's just his tight spiral that reminds me of Manning im not sure what but I do see something that gives me hope.
