Put Kleinsasser in at right offensive tackle. He won't jump off early and he certainly won't get beat as many times for sacks on Frerotte as Cook did (and usually does). Cook is slow, but terrible!

At least we know who the enemy is. We have met the enemy, and the enemy is us.

Pretty simple assesment of the game: Bucs have a QB who consistently makes good things happen when the designed play breaks down, and the Vikes have a QB who offers very little in the improv department. Yeah, Cook and Herrera are horrid pass protectors, but there has got to be some responsibility of the QB to escape the pressure as well.

every week a different reason for losing...when will misery ever end...with the way this team plays...even if the playoffs become reality...do we really want to prolong the torture...i hope zygi makes some big changes after the season...staring with the coach and off coord'r. as for out qb situation...what proven qb would want to play for this team without some major personnel changes?...OUT WITH CHILIDOG...GO VIKES!

Chili had ample opportunity to sign Garcia when he was a UFA. Not that Garcia is great, but he is better than anything we have

The Vikings signed alot of nice players in the off season, But they failed to land a QB. I am sure they knew that Frerotte or T-JOke would not be able to get them into the playoff and that is when they tried to get Brett and failed. Now they are stuck with a QB that is over the hill and can not run or pass a ball that has any degree of diffuculty attached to it. When you combine that with a offensive line that can not pass block you will not be very good on offense. We might as well put T-joke back in atleast he can run with the ball, and from they way Frerotte has been passing the ball T-joke could probably do that bad as well.

Ok I missed the game but after viewing the highlights it looked to me that other than bonehead fumbles the biggest problem was the O-Line again. 5 Sacks... What a sad outcome, a chance to be first and now we are 3rd!

Playoffs????
Do you actually think this team will go anywhere let alone make the playoffs? C'mon we all knew from day one that Ferotte would never be able to lead this team. We are just really wasting time, talent and experience, come traing camp we will be back in the same situation we are now...Looking for a quarterback! Kudos to the players who have carried this team, but the verdict is in, you aren't going to any playoffs and the Super Bowl is meant for real teams, who know how to make real decisions. Here is what you do, and this is free advice Vikes so listen up. Move J.D Booty to the starting line up, let him take his lumps this year yet and be some what ready for next year. Move Tavaris Jackson to wide receiver, his speed and size woulod be a great fit, although he is not durable (Pittsburg did it with Randle El). Sounds far fetched but not anymore far fetched then what we are watching now. At least its a move for the future in the right direction. Oh and fire Childress for good measure!

Brad Childress cannot inspire anyone. His flatline approach works in baseball but this is the NFL where many times EMOTION is the difference! Zigi is a good person, Im sure Brad is too, but I want a F--king Super Bowl Victory and we will never have one with nice guys making all the decisions!!!!!!!

Another disappointing loss. Unfortunately this is a typical Viking team. The game was almost over when suddenly I realized that our starting QB is actually Gus Ferotte. How the hell does that happen! I mean seriously what NFL caliber coach enters a season with TJ and Gus as their only choices? I can't believe we have to continue to suffer under Klink. The man is a moron. Fourth and a foot and he throws the ball!?! Every crucial third down the best player on the field is standing on the sideline!?! I swear Klink has compromising pictures of Zygi. No other owner would allow this to go on. I see Miami is 6-4 hmmmmmmm!

At least now, we know what the problem is;
-Weak right side OL
-No quarterback
-Terrible play calling
-Bad coaching in general
-Poor pass protection

Hey wait a minute! I just realized these are the same EXACT problems we've had for the last 3 years!

I think Zygi needs to sell the team to someone who actually LIKES the Vikings and truly wants to see them win.

I wonder if he even knows yet that we lost today.
HIS team, the Giants, won again and I'm sure he's pretty happy.

It is a real mystery why Zygi is allowing this to go on. We have the same EXACT problems we have had since Childress arrived;
No QB
No pass D
OL sucks
Bad, unimaginative play calling
No abilty to make game time adjustments.

Just think, we had the opportunity to get Garcia (And Brees And Cutler AND Pennington AND Rosenfels AND Schaub AND a whole host of other top quality football players and Childress PASSED.

WTF is Zygi doing (Other than ruining this team and it's fan base.)
I'm tempted to start rooting for Zygi's team, the NY Giants. Now THERE is well coached and well run football team.

...very good post brad...some helpful observation. i agree with your statement on booty...i was thinking the same thing...this season is another write off ( as usual), so why not stick him in there for exposure and to see what he can do...at least that way, if he fails and we suck ( which is what's happening this season)we might be able to get a higher draft pick and with chilidipper gone well...who knows?...OUT WITH CHILIDOG AND GO VIKES!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Virgo

You're struggling to get everything finished in time today, making you feel fractious and tired. At some point you may have to take a pragmatic decision about which tasks must be completed today and which will have to be postponed until another day. Do your best to keep things in proportion otherwise you'll waste time in trivial details and needless nit-picking.
