I'll ignore that comment.

It's amazing that he can concetrate at all after a tragedy like that happening so recently. I don't think I'd be able to function for a long time.

Yep, that must be the cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, playing football. I'm sure that busy executives, blue collar workers, and students children are exempt from SIDS, it must be because of the football. Thank you for that ridiculously ignorant comment.

I can't begin to fathom how heartless it's possible to be for someone to type such a moronic post. You get to see how degenerate a world we live in when visiting these forums. God bless Matt and the rest of the Bryant family. I truly can not imagine what they are going through.

And YOU sound ignorant for using the word "retarded" in such a malicious way. While I agree that many of the posters on here are acting out of line, you should consider using different terminology to describe them instead of insulting one of the most vulnerable pieces of society.

I can't believe he was at the game today. As ESPN commentators noted, the NFL needs to put together some kind of allowance for anyone in this situation to miss a game. Granted, there are not usually kickers on the bench waiting, but this guy should have been allowed to make the choice. Perhaps, however, the game gave him a few hours to take a break from the heartache tearing him up inside. I can't imagine how bad the situation must be at home, and my prayers go out to him and his family. Despite the heartless morons on here making jokes who probably have no children, there are those of us who see what happened as a parent's worse nightmare. What a sad weekend it must have been.

He did make a choice, Matt could have passed on this game and the next few. He chose not to! Brett Farve suited up what, the day after his father died? In my estimation this shows character and dedication, you may have a different take and that's OK too.

May God bless Matt and his family.
