I'm glad everyone is busy smoking and joking up there... personally, i'd like to see some hard work and effort put towards winning a super bowl, but then i can't develop kick-ass qb's like Klink can.

Heck, he's working on that. the Harvin pick & a little moldy green #4 cheese is all he needs. keep everyone loose till he comes. Then hope we see another brady choke in the face of a monster pass rush.

I saw the interview on Fox 9......

It's kinda weird....the guy tries to make jokes, but still looks "flat-lined" while he's telling it.

Yeah, I know. The guy's about as funny as a case of anthrax. IDK. The one thing he did that I thought was funny, was when he showed up a couple seasons ago wearing that safari hat and those shorts. He looked for all the world like Jimmy Finlayson in "Bonnie Scotland".- Then I found out that it wasn't a joke. Wrecked everything. Then he just looked like a pole lamp with a lampshade....Made me wonder how somebody that looked like a lamp could be so dim... In some ways, outside of football, I kinda feel sorry for him. I mean, there's just something about the guy that's not likable. He's $h!tty in interviews, repeats mistakes, he's bullheaded, unfair when handing out punishment, etc. Yet, it seems like most of the players like him. Maybe he's better "in person"???

well as much as i crap on him...i have to give him some credit, he's trying to lighten up. whether that translates into more success on the field IDK; but at least it's a change. i think he realizes that this maybe his last kick at the can so he needs to take a different approach. on another note, nice to hear that Percy is looking good...i believe we may have gotten lucky again ( as with MOSS and AD ): this time i hope we don't screw it up as we did with # 84. do your thing PERCY and GO VIKES!!!

It is often said that an offense takes on the personality of it's coach. The problem is the coach has NO PERSONALITY. As long as Childress is here they will have NO offense.

HAHA. People complain that Chilly doesn't have any personality.

And then when he tries to have fun, people complain about that too.

LOL!

I've seen the video. You are not missing much, but if anyone feels the need to see Chilly with fake hair here's the link to the video.

and another link with vid from a fav. vikings blog of mine...

http://www.dailynorseman.com/2009/6/1/894610/... ?

It's amusing to see Chilly have a personality. It's only June 1st...I'm not gonna moan about how they should be working harder and having no fun. Plenty of time for that once training camp rolls around.

I'm more interested in the rumors of Harvin and the Wildcat in the KAO

Football's a business. The CEO is the QB. If you have a POS at qb, relly doesn't matter the the rest of the team's good. Vikes would need a lot more defense to win a SB without a QB. I have no idea why people are enamored with a career backup/third stringer. Granted, the third stringer could be our best option. but someone else's third stringer is not the same as a top three all time QB who will provide top 5 performance this year if called upon. As for fran, keep in mind he demanded a trade from minnesota & was accomidated. he's always been all about fran. I love fran, but has anyone lost that many superbowls with that great of a defense? Reggie white's no alan page, for example.

I'm tired of hearing about Winfield and I would rather see him waived than him haggling or crying over contract while he have one year left that he need to honor ! His aging might have cause him a step or two slower and also I see he is not taking Vikings team seriously or gunning for Super Bowl but instead he spends too much time crying for more money, LET HIM GO !

brad childress is a terrible head coach. he wasn't even anything remarkable as an assistant - strictly run-of-the-mill by NFL standards. i don't see the vikings moving up to elite status under his direction. it's possible the organization doesn't aspire to elite status. they may be perfectly happy with just a playoff team. that's what it looks like.

"Hair today, gone tomorrow".- I'll just be happy if he manifests something UNDER the scalp more this season, and not waste a good team.
I realize that he has a winning record, but sometimes it seems more like it's because of how good the players are. Glad that Bevell & Butthead FINALLY seem like they're trying to get more "imaginable" with calls...
