Six minutes to end the game, Vikings down only nine. QB Jackson just plainly gave up, playing like a guy waiting to go to the locker room. Vikings will try Jackson at QB and lead Arian Peterson and Taylor next year?

Six minutes to the end of the play-off game, QB Jackson plainly gave up as if he is leading his team to the locker room not soon enough. Give him another chance in 2009? Poor Peterson, Taylor and the rest of the Vikings and their fans!

The game should have not sold out!

"This is a team loaded with talent, but there are areas the front office needs to address: quarterback, right tackle, center, cornerback, wide receiver and special teams."

How can a team loaded with talent need so much? And you forgot their biggest need. A coach who actually knows what he is doing. Someone who can think on his feet. Hell I'd settle for someone who can walk and chew gum at the same time!

what i don't like about this article is the fact that it discusses what problems need to be addressed next year and at no point is klink losing his job mentioned. i believe him to be the number one element holding this team back...and bevell too.
fire klink, hire frazier.

Zigi has spent tons of money and what has he got?
A poor head coach.

Chilly isn't qualified to make any of these off season decisions. Going to be a long time before this team is worth anything.

They forgot where the buck stops in this story. One playoff game in four years and there is no serious talk of firing the coach that cannot put it all together? Ownership needs to look at all of the coaches failings this year, starting with the QB position that was 'owned' by Childress. Well, it came back to bite him because it was a poor decision. Where was the depth that we needed in pre-season? Coaching, all coaching. Make the change, get this team on track.

Forget the free floating anger and keep your vision long. Here's the real danger: if they keep this coach Adrian Peterson would be out of his mind to stay once his contract is up. You want to think about this team without AD?

Well, the Vikings season finally ended! Now let the real season begin, the off-season. Minnesota need to address the quarterback, cornerback, safety, receivers, offensive line (tackle), linebackers, and the dreadful special teams. This team has had for a few years a trememdous amount of talent. You can't keep approaching each year with hopes of being one of the top teams in the league when all you do is disappoint each and every year. When owner Ziggy Wilf was shown last night, his emotions was not very encouraging, as if he knew what to expect and what the final outcome would be. Minnesota have to come back next season with different players in different positions, particarly Brian Robeson. He should never be a backup on this team, he's so much better than the guy he plays behind. Get rid of Cedric Griffin, with Antoine Winfield on the opposite side of the field, Griffin should be an interception machine, instead he gets burned to often. Sorry, but, it may be time for Darren Sharper to move on, he was not a factor this season. The most glaring need of the Vikings is a steady quarterback and a new special teams coach, and get rid of the conservative play calling head coach.

At the very least, a QB competition is needed. This team has had QB issues since Childress showed up here, and to go into a fourth season with an unknown commodity at the team's most important position is both stubborn and stupid. A veteran capable of starting and winning is needed. I'm not giving up on TJack completely, but the difference in the game yesterday was the QB play. Philadelphia won because they had the better QB. What is Childress going to do about that? His allegiance to Jackson is starting to remind me of Bill Cowher's allegiance to Kordell Stewart in Pittsburgh; it went on too long and cost Cowher multiple shots at a Super Bowl.

The Vikings don't need more depth at WR, they need a QB who is comfortable throwing to the WRs we have. Sidney Rice has the best hands on the team, and yet, after returning from his injury, the only time he seemed to get on the field was in goal line situations. This guy could be a pro bowl caliber receiver if given the chance. Why the heck is he not on the field more often?

Cook has got to go. Hicks is a good backup, but we need to land an ORT in free agency or the draft.

Where is the accountability? The answer is not always the players, though we do have some holes. From week 1 in GB, with a Blackmon punt return for TD, our punt coverage has been awful. The gunners are never within 15 yds. of the returner when he fields the punt. Yesterday they could not get off the blocks for 40 yds. yet our own blockers can't maintain blocks past 10 yds. FIRE Paul Ferraro!!! Fire the O-line coach too. Our line was pretty hyped up before the season, they performed terribly as a unit though. Improvement should have been made by Herrera and Cook but it wasn't. That's coaching. Let Sharper go, his mind is right but he has lost 2 steps. Gordon was playing great, sign him back. If Philly doesn't want McNabb back or if he demands a trade.......SIGN him. Dump Gus. COME ON Sidney Rice....if you and Allison do not work your freakin tails off this off-season to try to become the 2 and 3 receivers I will be very disappointed. Your not in college anymore. You have to work every day to be great. Look up Jerry Rice for some advice, better yet, Vikes....offer Rice a job as WR coach!

I'll go with Aikman's analysis that Johnson was not playing well and was out of position twice on pass plays that gained big yardage.

there should have been plays that gave TJ the option to take off and run the ball. this team needs a giant overhaul! i dont think anyone is surprized at the outcome of this one.

I want to know when is it that we are going to be able to throw down the field in that crap scheme that we have. You also have to ask yourself if TJack was in a different scheme, would he be able to flourish in another system? We need to get the pieces of the puzzle in place so that we can win a Super Bowl finally. We have tasted it before. Let's win won or two. Bernard Berrian cannot be the only weapon that we have as far as wide outs go. Let's get it done in the offseason.

They desperately need to rebuild their offensive line on the right side. No blocking for AD or for Jackson. They need a Special Teams COACH! All special team players are basically the same--second or third-tier players--on every team, and the real difference is the COACHING! I'm not going to give up on Jackson yet. They need more imaginative play-calling (sound familiar after three years?).

jackson will never be a consistent nfl QB. It is very obvious! This franchise could have gone a long way if not for the babysitting!
