Full story: TwinCities.com

Way to go Chilly! Way to drive out a high character pro-bowl veteran center! Way to go Zygi for listening to that idiot you hired as head coach. Childress is the enemy within the Vikings organization. He fooled Zygi in his interview and apparently has Zygi wrapped around his fingers due to major kiss a$$ing. Hey Chilly when a team depends on it's running game and already has questions marks on it's offensive line you do not let your veteran pro=bowl center walk away from the team...idiot!

There is no way Baltimore wins without Rex Ryan there and Bart Scott + others who keyed on the defense last year. They DID NOT win because of Flacco and the offense.

I know this won't be a popular stand, but I don't have a huge problem with this. Birk was a very good center and still is a good player. But he's also at the point in his career where the body starts breaking down. And before we get all worried about his replacement- remember that Birk replaced Jeff Christy who was considered an outstanding center in his time. The Vikings were criticized for that move too.

Hey, Birk didn't want to be here when the old Viking's ship sails off for bluer seas in the City of Industry (Hi IKEA out there). Your local politicians have sunk the Viking's ship and thus Ziggy can only do what's right to save them meaning away from all of you rubes and out to sunny California. You're all lucky he hasn't scuttled the team (stripped the talent) and is still interested in giving you a few years (30 games) of good entertainment. Matt, you did right by your family. Enjoy!

It doesn't seem like Chilly and Birk really got along, especially after Birk didn't come up for the off season program a couple years ago. Could turn out to be a bad move, if Sullivan isn't ready. Also, just reported this morning that Torry Holt WR is looking to be traded or released.

I have been a Vikings fan for 40 years and have decided to jump off the sinking ship just like I jumped off the sinking State of Minnesota ship. I moved to Colorado last year after seeing my Property taxes astronomical increase and the massive tax increases perpetrated by the Democrats. I have made the switch to the Denver Broncos and their new young, exciting coach and to Colorado with their low taxes and abundent sunshine.

I sincerely hope you enjoy Baltimore. It really is a beautiful place.
You talk too much. Connecticut smells bad. Baltimore a beautiful place? When were you there, 1729?

My hats off to Matt Birk and best wishes for great success in Baltimore. Frankly, I'm not sure if I could continue playing for Childress for his stupid offensive schemes and decision-making on how to lead the team.

What a doof....... who raised taxes in Minnesota????? Democrat Tim Pawlenty or democrat George Bush. You're an idiot! I'm glad you left. I went to college in Colorado and the taxes there are no different though the cost of living is generally lower than Minnesota. The economy there is tourism based and therefore susceptible to boom and bust cycles. They are in a bust cycle right now including their football team. Also Colorado is full of the ultra left unwashed masses or as I like to call them "mountain hippee's" or "trustifarians". I could, but wont go on and I'm sorry for indulging that moron.
Birk was going to lose his starting job here and he knew it. Klink still thought he would stay for less because he's from Minnesota. Bluff called.....oops

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Taurus

Friends and partners aren't behaving as you would like today. They're eager to go their own way, much to your annoyance. In order to get round this you're going to have to ask yourself some tricky questions, such as whether you're trying to control everyone's behavior or whether they're being inconsiderate in wanting to do their own thing. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so maybe you should all release the tension by making it a super New Year's Eve celebration?
