Job security for Childress? Why does he even have a job?

Chilie, you actually THINK both safetys in the box helped a little on the long pass plays, go figure, it might work again? way to go coach

Wasn't one of Peterson's first-ever big plays for the Vikings a 60 yard TD produced by a simple swing pass into the right flat? I think so. Maybe the coaching staff should use him more imaginatively than running him between the tackles like a fullback. If they're stacking the box, then throw to Peterson with the A&B circle play, or use him on short slants. He has the speed and agility to break such plays for big gains. What a shame our dullard strategy calls for him to run what are essentially fullback plays. That's great if you want two yards and a cloud of dust. Wise up, Vikings!

What a blithering idiot! How Wilf can suffer this dip $h!t to be "Head Coach" is beyond me. If opposing defenses stack the box to contain AD, they figure that it might open up the passing game??? I realize that this is probably a mental quantum leap of Biblical importance for Scrotum Head, but certainly Wilf, as a football fan, can see that Childress is "football-challenged "...

Get a clue Chili! Use the I-formation! I-formation! I-formation! The single back is too predictable. Put Tapeh in then you can confuse defenders better. Give the ball to Tapeh, then Tapeh again then Adrian or throw to the backs. Use some imagination for crying out loud. We're spending $6.75 for a beer at the Dome. Think man think!

Chilli needs to answer our complaints about the piss poor play calling, we keep on having recommendations, and no one ever asks him. come on Pioneer Press, interview the stupid ass coach, and ask him why he always sends AD to the short side.

Clearly the end of the world is at hand, I agreed with you on something. I almost feel dirty, for once you are right. For the first time in your entire adult life, I am proud of you. Michelle is too.

The idiot childress even says that he knows that other teams do not respect the pass and yet he continues to run Peterson up the gut. If they have nine guys in the box, pass every fricking play until they go to a normal defense. Good God, its not that complicated.

I do have to agree that Childress isn't doing his job here, for some reason he's willing to take a couple three-and-outs before going to the pass. They do need to keep Peterson involved when teams are selling out to stop the run, but up the middle isn't doing any good. We need to come out passing, give teams different looks. Part of the problem with that is that the pass protection hasn't been consistent; hopefully McKinnie being back will help on that front (assuming he keeps out of trouble). Also, I think more screens, end-arounds, and such might help. As it stands right now, one of the biggest problems with the offense is that we seem to be wasting downs every series by trying to somehow punch the ball through huge fronts. If we start throwing the ball down the field more and/or getting it to Peterson with space when they stack the box, I guarantee a night and day difference. Childress bought himself a couple weeks at least, and I don't think replacing him mid-season is going to do any good, but he needs to address some of these things if he's going to have any chance at a sustained career as a head coach. Oh, and by the way, I hope someone's talking to Scott Linehan about coming back to his old job.

Finally, Winfield is the one good thing happening in our secondary. Talk about a player worth his weight in gold.

You forgot their trick play-- 3rd and 10, throw a 5 yard pass.
