well the last few teams that won the superbowl had qbs that had very average stats. and brett favre john elway etc took years before they won. heck even baltimore won with whats his name.
the vikes dont need to put up 5000 yards passing but that dont mean they are set they must improve
all around on offense such as dropped passes, fumbling, false starts etc. t jack must improve top but gosh maybe give him more than 3 years.
I don't know if I'd call Eli Manning or Big Ben "average". Stats have nothing to do with the quality of a QB, the bottom line is leadership and the ability to win. You can give T-Jack another 3 years to mature and he's not going to get any better. His college days were spent playing ball at a place that was little more than a high school program. He shouldn't have been a 2nd round choice (and trading up to make that choice was nuts) at best he should have been a late round flyer, a project, nothing more. Tyler Thigpen was more prepared to enter the NFL than T-Jack and they tried to stash him on the practice roster. It's time to label the T-Jack experiment exactly what it is, a complete failure.

Get Bret Favre. Let him lead this team to it's first Super Bowl win.

Yep, you're absolutely right. T-Jack is the best option for the Vikings, how could I not see that? Clear a shelf at Winter Park, the trophy is as good as won.

TJoke the best option? LMAO!

Cut-N-Paste:

Mangini needed a spark to save his job and went for Favre. Favre signs with Jets and he chokes and Jets do not make the playoffs. Mangini fired and Jets back to square one.

Chilly needs a spark to save his job and is talking with Favre. Favre signs with Vikings and he chokes and Vikings do not make the playoffs. Chilly gets fired and Vikings back to square one.

It's like watching a volkswagon full of circus midgets dry hump an elephant.

Vikings dumb for pursuing this over the hill joke.

i simply don't understand how any fan of this team who has anguished through the last 5+ years of trying to compete without a bona-fide starting QB would not deem this opportunity worthy of a try. think of the hundreds of thousands of tv's that won't get turned off with the vikings down by 5 with a minute and a half left in the game because we actually have a chance of scoring... that thrill alone will be worth the try.

Landing Farve is a win-win situation for us.
#1 If he plays well, we go deep into the playoffs.
#2 If he plays poorly, Childress gets fired.

Win/win baby.

And by the way Tom, I dig your stuff.
You at least have the balls to call Childress and the Viking front office out on all their hair-brained moves.
Most of the other pundits around the Twin Cities seem too timid to ask the hard questions.

Carry on Dude!
