He was good at Notre Dame. I was surprised he was still there in the 4th round when the Vikings got him. I thought foresure he would have been drafted the first day of the draft. I thought Birk was a great player. But I think Sullivan is going to be a great one too.

It is an automatic thing, I just love throwing INT's.

Sullivan will be just fine. Wish he had one more year as an apprentice first though... I was surprised he was there when MN picked too. Oh well. I suspect alot of teams' losses are MN's gain on this one.

Replacing the home town boy Birk will be daunting, especially since he was a fan favorite and had so much success. I hope he plays like a young Matty B.

Zach - Sullivan was not drafted in 4th round. He was drafted in 6th round, just like Birk was. When does Canadian football start, anyway? Go Blue Bombers!

John enough already with the Birk storyline. You would think Birk was Mike Webster or something. Get over it. I think you will still get your meals at a discount. If you read this piece you would see how insulting you were to Sullivan. Like he needs tips from a subpar player. On his last snap for the Vikings he rolled it back of TJ left foot. That will be hard to replace!!

living close to south bend, & watching notre dame football, i was able to see sullivan play. he was a very good center in college. i think he will do just fine. my only concern is that we had enough problems on the r side of the line, that it didn't make any sense to let birk slip away. childress said that continuity was key for any football team, but then he makes some strange decisions about personel,(maybe the continuity was only for the crappy assistant coaches he chose). go vikes!

I thought it was a good, insightful interview.
Anytime a player can get advice from a player like Birk, it's invaluable.

No commit, thats the best you can do, sounds to me that you need to stop by Shooter's in Harrow for your weekly "Dee " fix. I generally stop for mine on Fri. afternoons. Who knows maybe I'll see you there?
