"Actually, he fumbled four times. And that fourth one was recovered by the Lions and would have killed a drive. But after a challenge by Childress, the play was ruled down by contact."
ahh, no, you moron. he actually fumbled three times, since you can fumble the ball as much as you want after you are down by contact, and it is not a fumble.
seriously, who at the fish wrap factory east pays you people? no wonder the newspaper is a dying media... although you're still probably better than the less-offs at yahoo.

Good Job on the challenges very well done!! Now do these 3 steps and the Vikes are playoff bound!

First and Foremost, Jackson needs to take over for Frerrotten. 11 TD's 14 picks. He threw two in the first half to a team that only had two in 12 games. He threw 4 to Chicago, 3 to GB two for TD's. He is immobile and and inaccurate. Time to make the change go with the hot hand. Guarantee the Vikes lose to Det if Frerrotten didn't get hurt.

2nd Open a game with a 4 Wr set and get the Defense to guess what is coming... No more smash mouth to open the game. AD is getting smashed and won't last. Break the will of team is fine. Do it in the 4th quarter with Chet and AD. Pass to open the run not the other way around.

3rd Karl Dunbar needs to Explain to the DLine where the line of scrimmage is and have them line up behind it. Grigsby in for Edwards until he can stay onside. Sharper needs to drop weight and make a dang play on the ball in the air. Hussein Abdullah and Johnson are younger and faster and both hit hard. Sharper got old and has one pick for a reason (slow). Give the youngsters playing time now so when Sharper is let go (FA) they will be ready.

T Jax isn't the answer either Justin. I do agree that he's better than Frerotte, but by no means is he the answer to our footballs teams problems.

I'd like to see TJ in there Sunday. His mobility is needed and we need to keep the ball and keep Warner off the field.

"He's got a back contusion," Childress said. "Very sore right now. We're trying to settle it down and make him comfortable."
sounds more like hospice

It is amazing/confounding how fans expect a young QB to come in and be above avg during his first two years of playing in the league. This is still only Jackson's second season of playing (3rd in NFL) It is a learning process. The Matt Ryans, Joe Flaccos are few and far between. The common denominator is very good O-Lines, Very Good WR's and good RB's.

The Vikings have poor pass protection and avg receivers and a conservative game plan. They also have two great backs though.

Jackson has all the tools and will benefit from and still needs experience. Sitting him down was a good move, except he should have been brought in during the first Chicago game when Gus began to spiral downward (4 picks to a ravaged secondary).

Offensive Line pass protection, WR/TE , RB and play calling have everything to do with his development. I'm not ready to annoint him the savior, but the same is true about calling him a joke when he has more talent then most.

I was an early T-Jack supporter, but also agreed with the switch to Frerotte at the time. I think Frerotte did his job: to stabilize the offense and open up some downfield passing game - for a while. Now teams have some film and are better prepared to defense his strengths - and expose his weaknesses (immobility). And quite frankly I think most fans are simply fed-up with Frerotte's amazingly back-breaking, terribly blind and easy interceptions happening more and more each game.

I think it's time to take another look at T-Jack. But if - AND ONLY IF - Childress lets him play all out! Give him the whole playbook, do not put shackles on him from the get-go! Give him a chance to succeed or fail on his own merits. Give him at least the Arizona game to take a look while Gus heals up a bit. Success might look very optimistic, and failure will likely look like a limited passing game, a few key scrambles and ad-lib plays, a reliance on AD, and 2-3 backbreaking turnovers: Hmmm, sounds kinda like what we have with GF. We need to know what we have going into the offseason (and no, I'm not suggesting we forget about pursuing a much better option for QB during the postseason - just to know what we have on-hand).

I meant "off-season", not postseason, sorry.

At this point in the season, Gus is probably the best friend a Chiropractor ever had...

So what if TJ screws up , on the other side he could be fabulous & gain experience! We absolutely know we are not going anywhere with Fre ROT ! At least with TJ It could be very good team Boost & aplayoff team to be reckoned with.(50%-50% chance?) Go for it & give TJ more Experience!!!
