your logic is terrible. lets say if i was walking down the street and saw a stranger shoot themselve in the thigh with an illegal gun. my instinct would be to help that person and which is probably going to involve picking up the gun as to not leave it in the middle of the street (or club). what would i be guilty of in this situation?
Terrible example, I deem you guilty of stupidity.

I don't think Pierce broke the law - PERIOD!
Pierce is guilty of wanting to get Burress home before dealing with the legal issues. Not much would come before safely disposing of a gun - but Burress' life would.
In which case, he should have called 911, and let the professionals deal with Burress' wound.

It takes a uniquely ignorant individual not to realize that the authorities have to be notified anytime a doctor treats a gunshot wound, a fact that's probably mentioned dozens of times every year in movies and TV shows. Pierce certainly doesn't deserve jail time, but his conduct here was far from admirable, and possibly illegal. He's been trying to stonewall the authorities, and if they decide to come down hard on him as a result, he has only himself to blame.

What if Burress had shot some white guy? Which brings to me to how the weapon went off. Pistols DO nOT fire on their own, even when fumbling for it when it slides down your pant leg. The safety was off, period! This assrag had intended on shooting someone. It's just a matter of who!
You are one racist S*O*B

So it's a crime to drive your friend to the hospital? A.P. didn't know Plax was carrying a gun. Maybe returning the gun back to New Jersey was wrong but was it a crime? And if so, what are you going to charge him with? Transporting evidence across state lines? Give me a break. It's not like Plax shot someone and A.P. was trying to hide the evidence. Let it go already. The media is poisoning your brain.
I didn't like that guy's comment, or his posting name, which sounds racist to me. But you aren't demonstrating any common sense here. Pierce clearly would have to have known Burress had a gun by the time he was driving him to the hospital, and the smart, responsible, and legal thing to do in that situation would have been to call 911. As to whether carrying an illegally loaded firearms over state lines is a crime ... if that's what Pierce did, yes, he's guilty of a crime, probably a federal offense. That and a NYC charge of tampering with evidence.

Actually, the best thing you could do in that situation would be to call 911 and stick around to talk to the cops when they arrived. And your little scenario doesn't even begin to match the actual events as known so far, which includes taking an illegal weapon across state lines in order to prevent the police from taking it.

I am sick of this waste of taxpayers money. The cops should go after dangerous criminals and leave this alone. Let Plaxico plead out to a lesser misdemeanor count and move on. It is amazing Spitzer gets off the hook and these asholes, cops and press, go after Pierce. I hate to use the racism word but it really does apply.

Spitzer shot a few loads. Plax shot himself. BIG difference.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Leo

It's hard to pin down a certain person today because they're being so vague and dithery. Ask them a question and they'll vacillate or be unable to give you a straight answer. You might suspect them of deceitful goings on but it's far more likely that they're simply in a world of their own and can't keep their mind on anything for long. Don't worry, they'll soon be back on planet earth.
