Thoughts on these pick ups?
Pears is good except when we play Denver...they know his weaknesses and will surely exploit it. I think the Raiders are having a better offseason than last year so far. are being metodical in their approach...good stuff!

I like it, we gotta get our line to be more dominant. I am all for getting a DT to play alongside Tommy kelly, but is investing over 100 million dollars on 2 DT's really the way to improve the run D?

We really need to tackle this Jamarcus lake on consistancy issue and get his mechanics down right before we worry too much on "what great rookie" we can pick now. Tired of sucking and signing these guys that do not receive the coaching they deserve.

with a future cornell green suspension and an (ot) problems that we have. it does not help the matter.we are not that far off from completing our (O) line position and the draft is getting closer. if the RAIDERS were planning to get a (wr) first while fixing the (O) line in the off season it may be put to a halt. if RAIDERS were planning to get a (OT) at #7, then we are on track because c green is looking to be suspended soon! hey green could have waited till the season started to secure his position. after all he had already pretty much held his spot.

I think both Barnes and Pears are capable of starting. I figured that Green would still be around at least through camp and just not make the team. Henderson really blossomed at the end of the season as the LT we've needed and I think he should have a make or break season there.

green is not that great! and i agree that henderson could hold that position with more playing time. just that there was another off season issue to deal with in the RAIDERS org. already with coopers "death" the davis, kiffin feud and now this? but anyways, i like the pears and barnes additions. satele is experienced and to me it seems as the RAIDERS are still looking at a (wr) in the draft.

They signed another OL named Michael Johnson who apparently has been a back up most of his career. He seems like he'd be good depth

In his last seven games JRuss was over 60% in his completions, with a quarterback rating of over 90. That was better than both of the Manning boys in their first 16 games. Surround him with a better line,(especially left tackle), and he'll be just fine. Not to mention that he's still younger than Ryan and Flacco.

Yea but only 8 td's and had 4 int's during that 7 game stretch. That is the problem, it would be better if we became more balanced as far as scoring. Jamarcus still has a way to go and the dunk passes are just padding the stats.

I hope this plan works if it is the plan. Need more help other than signing other teams former backups though. I still say O-Lins and D-Line should be the focus early on. Stay away from the "Best player availble at any position" routine would be a good start.

Make that 7 td's and 4 int's. NEED MORE BALANCE!

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Scorpio

Don't let yourself be caught up in a crowd mentality. Just because someone else makes a major production out of what should be a simple matter, doesn't necessarily mean that it has to affect you adversely. You might be able to bring down the volume with a tap on the shoulder and a meaningful look. Even though it might not seem like it, your cool head is definitely appreciated at times like this.
