Thats no fun hopefully for you Simeon Rice is healed from the broken back he suffered less then a year ago. This injury could knock the Colts out of the playoffs with the Titans and Jaguars both nipping at they're heels!

...and the Bears are going to make the playoffs this year? The Colts "one year" has been 7-8 seasons of excellent football, and is still on the rise, as the Colts are the 2nd youngest team in the NFL.
The Bears, well, yeah, your "one year of wonder" is over. Green Bay and Detroit are so far ahead, your season's over right now buddy. Go blow your nose somewhere else.

Sorry to hear that about Freeney.

It's fun to lob insults at each other over our allegiances but I hate seeing anyone go down with a season ending injury. Especially an all pro who appears to be a good guy too.

Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.

Show me the Money!

Sign a BIG contract, get hurt, and still collect a big paycheck.

Seems like a pattern with the Colts, do the following names ring a bell?

Corey Simon
Edgerrin James
Brandon Stokely

What about the guy that got into a traffic accident on his way to the game last year? I can't remember his name.

Soon to be added to the "Physically nonperforming but collecting a huge paycheck list:

Marvin Harrison
Bob Sanders
Dallas Clark
Rob Morrison

The NFL is beginning to look like the NBA and this fan is quickly losing interest.

well it will be interesting to read the gleeful posts of the folks from New England that have been visiting this site. I am sure there only regret will be that it wasn't one of their players that stepped on his foot to take him out for the season...

If you get their.
Back to your trailer parks! Ha HA
Your QB is Rex Grossman, your runningback is Cedric Benson, your defense gave up over 200 yards to Adrian Peterson and you are making fun of the Colts? The Colts will be in the playoffs and in the AFC Championship. You will be lucky to make the playoffs. And by the way, Chicago is a way bigger Rathole then the City of Boston could dream to be, as much as Boston is a New York City wanna be, Chicago is a Boston never be!

How eloquent, "bear fan". If injuries keep us out of the AFC Championship,(which I doubt), I will just open a beer and rewatch the Colts' demolition of your beloved Bears in the Super Bowl.

Classy post and thanks for the good words.

It does suck when something like that happens to a great person on or off the football field.

Hopefully he gets better soon!

Player who you can't think of........Montae Reagor. Injury to Freeney and possibly being out for the season doesn't surprise me.

It's too bad about Freeney's injury. He plays the game hard and gives it everything he's got.

As for the Bears ... worst management in all of the NFL. I mean, c'mon, you got rid of Thomas Jones and keep Cedric Benson. How's that working out for you?

Chicago has a real nice quarterback situation, too. McCaskey is an idiot -- I doubt that the Bears will see the playoffs again for the next 5 or 6 years, as the Vikes, Lions and Packers are all young teams on the rise.

Well, lets circle the wagons and hopefully the Colts will get some of their offensive weapons back. The O needs to pick up the slack, which still may not be much. The D has played better than expected so far. Maybe the LB's can carry some of the load

This is the most disturbing news I've read in a long time. I love Dwight, and I love his unique character and valuable function in our defense. He cannot be replaced, only substituted for. There is only one Dwight. Dwight- love you. Hope for a quick recovery and return!!!!

Yeah, the Bears would know about injuries. You just keep hanging on to Mike Brown, eventually he'll be able to play 3 games in a row.

Oh, and one and done? If that's true it'll be more game than the Bears will play in the playoffs.
