At least he's self aware...of how poorly he plays.

Fans want to see the efforts of the players to improve themselves and more importantly, the heart and desire to win, i.e., not giving up even if they are behind. But the Vikings have been playing catch-up ball. Why can't they dominate some of these games?

Cook's pass blocking has been abysmal. Teams have gone around, under, and through, and have found the path to the QB relatively unimpeded. Gus Frerotte will get a call from his insurance company later today telling him that they are lowering his premiums now that there is an actual body between himself and the left defensive end. What a reach to take this guy in the second round. While it is still a bit early to evaluate Chillys first draft class, the start for Jackson, Cook, and McCaulley does not look good.

I agree with Justin Snyder, Frerrote is a back up, not a starter, maybe back in the day, but it is 2008. either put in T-Jack, or Booty. NOW
then comes darious reynaud. PUT HIM IN Kickoffs, Punts, WR. I say let Ferguson go. |

1 Pardon the cliche, but Klink is a "day late and a dollar short," and mentally, he's definitely a few Froot Loops short of a bowl! The time to dump Klink is now, after the Williams Wall gets suspended, and get the new guy in (Frasier or Cowher) and up-to-speed ASAP to hit the ground running in 2009. Zygi, unlike Klink, has to get rid of the dead weight so this potential juggernaut can take off. |

Another player the triangle of death just had to have....wow, they know how to pick 'em.

What a bunch of crappy, mean comments about a fellow human being. Hide behind your internet name and say what anything you want... right?. I was impressed that Cook had the humility to say that he could see it coming and didn't seem to complain much. Unlike Troy Williamson (good riddance to him). I am also pleased to see Childress making a positive decision to replace him. I agree it is long in coming. |

Another week passes by and another lesson is learned by Brad Clueless. Maybe one of these weeks he will learn that he DOES need to have AD play on 3rd downs. AD after all is his best player. I am afraid that once Clueless has finally learned how to coach that the team will be in L.A.

See, he could see something coming, and wait for it. Now if he could translate that to the field, he might still have the job.

So who is making these shrewd personnell moves? Getting Petersen was a no brainer as he fell to 7. Does Studwell need to be shown the door along with Chilli?

Hopefully this is a move in the right direction; half the reason we lost to TB was that Frerotte was under near-instant pressure on half his drop-backs. If we'd had good protection, we probably would have won. We'll see what happens this Sunday, I'm hoping for a good game with a positive outcome because I plan on being there.

1 Or picture him as Mr. Hand in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The players are about as intrested in what he has to say as Jeff Spicoli was in the movie.......... |

Sorry, Mr. 36-year old fan, but facts are stubborn things! This team has been badly mismanaged during Klink's tenure ... and HE is solely to blame. I, like many other astute and long-time Viking fans, were always dubious about T. Jackson and Ryan Cook. Why has it taken Klink so long to figure it out? Sounds like he keeps tripping over his massive ego! |
