Sharper's frustration with the Vikings

Full story: KSTP-TV Minneapolis

In our games, we pretty much have been in every game. So it comes down to a guy here or there making a play. So that was the basic statement. We need to make more plays and have our playmakers step up and make more plays An explanation for all that ails the Vikings: A 2-5 start. Minnesota fans suffer through another tough loss in a winnable game against Philadelphia. via KSTP-TV Minneapolis

Read the article and it becomes obvious the viking coaching staff haven't a clue about their own team. Sharper wasn't talking about himself when he said "we have to get some playmakers". He wasn't talking about himself when he said "let the playmakers play". It's obvious he was talking about the crappy QB's and AD not getting the ball more than about 17 times a game. I know the coaches don't want any controversy but to turn everything he said into a story about Sharper's frustration about not getting int's is ridiculous. If we were 8-0 and he didn't get one int he wouldn't say a thing, except "see you at the Superbowl". Gawd I hate the coaching staff and especially Childress. Fire the bunch and start over!!

buddy grant, Sharper said we need to get some playmakers. That's means somebody they don't have. Your interpretation is totally wrong and has been corrected.

No you are comprehensionally challenged. He said that people need to make plays on the team. He said that people who are on the field need to make plays when they can.

Sharper was saying the same things before GB let him go, so we took his advise, cut him and got some play makers. The canser has settled in and is beginning to tear what team you have left up. You'll find the good team players keep their mouths shut.

If I was the coach of the Vikings...

Peterson would get 25 carries.
Taylor would get 15 carries.
Who ever was throwing would only get 10 passes/game....all play action.

At least you didn't resort to name calling in your attempt to correct me. Thanks for that.

As for your comments, you are completely off the mark. Sharper said, and I quoted, " we need to get some playmakers" and "let the playmakers play". I thought it was crystal clear to everyone that the comments by Sharper were not about himself but the team. It would make no sense from any standpoint to interpret his comments as a call to find a different safety to replace him or to play him anymore than he is already playing, considering hwe plays every defensive series. He is simply saying what the fans have been saying all season: TJ and the other QB's are not good enough and AD doesn't get enough carries.

Sharper did shut his mouth when asked if he was referring to the QB situation or the coaching. He's just as frustrated as the rest of the fans that a good nucleus of players is losing because of two people: the QB and the coach. It's clear to everyone but the one that matters most i.e. Wilf that until those two people leave, the team will always be in the bottom of the league.

Other then a day or two with Childress, Fran and harry a year ago, I don't name call. I may have a sharp point but your guys are big boys.

Trust me, he was with us for 8 years, we know his MO. He shut up because he realized he would get in big trouble after the question. He shouldn't be talkin shit about his team any ways. His coach should do that. He is starting to tear things apart. You guys will let him go at the end of the season if you are smart.
