Come on Zorn, how about giving praise where it's due. What kind of coaching is that, continually looking putting someone down. I can remember a new quarter back making all kinds of mistakes many, many years ago. His name was Jim Zorn and he was playing for the Seahawks. He was made to look good by Steve Largent, who could catch just about anything thrown to him. Keep up the good work Colt. This fan appreciates all you've done and will continue to do to keep football exciting.

Coaches get paid to analyze and improve rookie players.Zorn likes Colt and that's obvious, he wants him to succeed, he's coaching the kid and I'm not in anyway discouraged by Zorn's remarks and it dosen't appear that Colt is either.

results are the most fair measure of his performance. they do not lie and they speak for themselves.
everything else will either be coaches wanting to take credit some day for making him what he already was with others pushing him as hard as they can to become better for the sake of the team. nothing wrong with the last motive. he probably has the slight hawaii perception of being laid back, which to some can seem unmotivated or worse. results are often harsh but always fair - nothing else matters for him when it comes to his football career and he could hardly have done better, so far. |

1 I agree. The Redskins got a steal in this one and having to pay around minimum salary, you can't complain about it. Should Colt continue to improve and impress can you imagine what his worth would be at the end of his contract? Which is why I think coach Zorn wants to keep Colt a little under the radar. Other wise some other team may offer more $$$$. |

While it's always important to listen to your coaches, sometimes you gotta take chances as a player. This is a bussiness now and isn't it all about getting the job done? Let alone who can get the job done? It's all about the W's in pro sports. All the great ones has their own style of play and you don't hear their coaches nit picking about their decision making. Now I'm not saying Colt is one of those great ones. He is years away, but the possibilities and potentual is absolutely there.

Zorn did praise Colt and said he should be proud of his performance. He also made honest comments about Colt's performance, and is just doing his job in developing Colt.
Zorn was not disrespecting Colt. Keep in mind that Zorn told Colt at the start of camp that he was going to be hard on Colt because he wanted to develop Colt into a premier NFL QB. |

Great 1st NFL game Colt. Always room for improvement. Made a lot of Colt supporters proud, especially to prove the Naysayers wrong. Tho' a long ways to go as this is a full looong season. Just believe in yourself Colt, that's the only thing that mainly counts.

College is over. Days of being a "GUNSLINGER AT UH" is over, he is now a pro. Now he is expected to have some consistency against defenses that is great every week. That is what it takes to play in the NFL. Many great quarterbacks never make it in the NFL. High % that Colt is one of them. I understand the HOMETOWN HERO mentallity, but he is not in college anymore, those days are over, it is just a great memory.

For those who are critics of side-arm throws and 3/4 releases - what do you say about Farve? Look what he accomplished in his hey-day - side arm, 3/4, 1/4, underhand, lobs, yada yada. If it was abnormal and downright ugly he did it and made the play. In the end - whatever it takes.. whatever works.
and the criticism over his "risky" pass over the middle? Maybe it is risky for the average qb, but not for one who's confident in his abilities in being able to thread the needle and make the play. good job colt! |

I here the fans are head over heals for their other QB Cambell. Zorn is probbably gonn keep brennan thru term and at the end trade 1 of his studs. all qbs minus collins had a flawless night. To early to single him out. |

No argument from me. Hopefully he'll get some playing time. |

And Favre, as a pro, takes a lot of passing risks. So I wonder what Zorn wants in his passing offense. |

One thing that they should never change with Colt is his delivery. Every pitcher in major league baseball has some uniqueness to their delivery. Every quarterback has theirs too. Changing a motion or the delivery of a person in any sport can do more harm than good especially if someone had and have great success. Footwork yeah the delivery better not. For those that had their deliveries changed they may have not been very successful and may have gotten better due to certain changes.
As we all know don't fix what is not broken. Great job Colt! |

Why did coach Zorn say this? Hope his mind is not made up who the 3 QB's he will keep. NFL is big business, keep the 2 top QB's with big contracts and the 3rd with NFL minimum pay. Hope Colt does not end up with the practice squad. Can someone help me if this is correct? I think if you do not make the team in the NFL, you don't get paid but keep your signing bonus, not like MLB, you keep everything. Good Luck Colt.

It is what it is! Pre season game, third stringers against third stringers. Still, he did score two TD's and put together two excellent drives. We've been watching CB for three years and know what he can do. Zorn may have appeared critical of CB but part of his job is to keep him grounded. I remember when I was a kid, my two favorite and as yet, unheralded QB's were Phil Simms and Jim Zorn. I Think Zorn's still a winner. I believe CB's in a good place, in a good situation. Let's hope he can keep improving. Aloha and best wishes Colt.
