An if the AFL was a "joke" and the super bowl was a meaningless exhibition game, they how in the hell did the mighty vikings lose to the AFL champ chiefs? You're just sour cause vikings are 0-4 in the big one. My god, do the world a favor and go jump ff a bridge.
When did I call the AFL a "joke"? They had legitmately good teams. I just pointed out that the first couple of "Super Bowls" were just exhibition games meant to drum up interest in the sport, and not the ultimate championship in sports that it is today. Sure, it's too bad that the Vikes have come up short of a Super Bowl, and it's frustrating, but I'm a better fan for it. They'll get there someday, but in the meantime, I'm glad they're always in the hunt.

Tell me, how did you manage to avoid jumping off a bridge in the 70s and 80s, when your team was the laughing stock of the league?

Yes, they drink in GB. They shoot one another over who owns the street corners in FLA.
Are you trying to imply that they don't shoot each other in a drunken rage or druken stupidity in WI? That's laughable!

Impossible for this conversation to ever have happened....Brett Favre's father died about 6 years ago.....Try getting some facts prior to writing fiction stories
What does Farve's father have anything to do with what I posted. It might help for you to actually read my post before commenting.

I don't believe the story either, but I think the poster was referring to his friend's mom and dad talking to Favre.
Thanks Dicky for actualy reading the post. I have no reason to believe my friend was dishonest and that the conversation did in fact take place and is credible.

Oh. Leave it to a MN fan to call two Superbowl titles 'exhibitions'. It's not called the Lombardi trophy for nothing. By the way, the Viking fell short in several Super Bowls. Go find a nice high bridge to jump from.

Sure they shoot one another in Wi. Not with nearly the frequency as in FLA, however.

Granted, we'll probably never see a 'Green Bay Watch' series, but at least here there are three Lombardi Trophies to look at and admire. You're invited to stop by and see what one looks like.

I live in FL, remember? I can go to Tampa or Miami to see them...I'm not far. Also, the game itself is played here quite often.

Don't kid yourself....WI has at least as much gun violence as FL.

Really? I didn't know they had named the trophy after Lombardi while he was still coaching? Give me a break? The only one of those in GB that is actually the "Lombardi" trophy is the one Holmgren and Desmond Howard won.

I'll reiterate my previous comments. Yes, I'm disappointed that the Vikes fell short in 3 Super Bowls and one AFL-NFL "championship" exhibition, but I'll take decades of consistent winning over living in the 60s because my team was a stink pile for most of the last 3 decades....

all credibility with me.... I really don't care one way or the other anymore.. I felt for him when he shed tears the very first time he 'retired'... now? nothing.. not a tear, not a too bad Farve... just can't muster the energy to care about this guy playing ever again.

if the vikes pick him up, they would be stupid to do so, he's through. He's old and worn out

Yes, I KNOW you live in FLA. I imagine you moved there so that you can view the often blacked-out Vikings games.

Look up the stats on gun violence. You'll find evidence to the contrary of your statement. Who's kidding himself?

I'll give you a slight edge... 8.1 Firearm deaths vs 11.1 firearm deaths per 100,000 people - MN only 6 per 100,000....These are all pretty low, and well under the national average.

Its funny that you say often blacked out because I live in the Twin Cities and I get to see a lot of Vikes games because of the lack of blackouts, moron!

For a typical Vikings fan, seeing 'lots' of games instead of ALL of them is satisfactory.
You threw the M word at me. Which reminds me; It's National Hug a Special Person Week. Don't be alarmed, kid. Thy aren't trying to take your helmet away from you.
Youre reply makes absolutely no sense, if you want to insult me please do so with correct spelling. Tell me how many home games have been blacked out at the Dome in the last ten years? I dont recall too many, if any. By the way when you live in Green Bay what else is there to do on Sunday? Everything shuts down, so where else you gonna go?

For one thing, I could go to the peace and quiet of the Humpty Dome.

You must have never been. Yeah that must be why teams complain about the noise being so LOUD.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
