Manuel Wright

Clean slate for Wright

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Manny Wright turned 23 on Friday, and instead of blowing out candles, he stood in the back of the Dolphins' locker room rehashing the embarrassing incident of him walking off the field in tears after getting ...

I am really surprised that no reporter has really decided to do a thorough investigative report on me and some of the real bad things that I have done and so this Manny Wright business is just the tip of the iceberg where I ended up making this kid seem like a psycho case.

No one really investigated me for the business of Gus Frerotte where I am supposed to have tried to take playing time from him so that he would not collect on the bonus for playing so many games... and we were playing well with Frerotte yet I kind of took playing time away from him.

My life is full of little things like that, I pulled another few at the LSU people and the I shoved it up Huizenga but no reporters really took me on to investigate me all the way back to my beginning. It is an ugly story after another and the sooner I am found out in the open the better.

I want to be saved and if you do not stop me I will continue with my slick Nick ways and will burn in Coonass hell forever.

Why do we talk so much about M Wright? Fred Evans and R Wright will be much better players. M Wright does not have the mentallity to play in NFL.

WRIGHT on you have to wonder how serious he is coming in over weight and out of shape again,I believe that is what started his problems with Saban. Its about the only thing Saban did that was right. This kid just seems to be missing the mental toughness to make it, no doubt he has the physical side covered.

We once had a player who quite the Detroit Lions because he couldn't take it the first time. Then he knocked around in semi-pro ball for a while then walked on in Miami planning to give it one more shot. I'm glad Bob Kuechenberg did because he turned into one hell of a player.

Lighten up people - everyone deserves a second chance let's wait and see what he does by the end of training camp! He was just a kid when he got here never been away from home.

Oh and show me any OL or DL that comes into camp at his playing weight.

Awesome post y-not!! I will never understand the eternal, annoying pessimism of so many Dolphin fans. I love what this coaching staff is doing and can't wait to see this team in a couple more years. I would so much rather see them build this ream the right way than band-aid everything. Bob Kuechenberg!! That is brilliant!!

everyone has a different learning
& emotional delveopmental curve
give him an opportunity
let him swim or sink
we cannot be injured byhis failure
only much improved by his success

yes, some Dolpin fans are eternally
& annoyingly pessimistic. Believe
this to be very much the result
of being displaced from their team
of origin ( somewhwere back home)
these trans plant suffer from chronic
rejection and deep down harbor little
good will for our beloved Dolphins

give Manny & Ricky a break
give our team a break
personally, i'm looking
forward to a great season

Lets see what Manny shows up at when training camp starts. If he is down 20 pounds and comes to camp in shape and ready to go, then judge him.

Good luck to Manny. Depression is a difficult disease to control, and I am surprised to hear that he is not taking medication to control his symptoms. Thank goodness he is talking to professionals, however.

And the birth of his son should help ground him and hopefully he will mature as a result.

Fans, instead of condemning him, we should be applauding him for having the guts to "find himself" and the guts to come back and give it another try.

I will be pulling for you, Manny.

I really think Wright can be a monster inside if he turns it around. that potential alone is worth giving him one more chance and the motivation to succeed.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Virgo

Someone is easily angered today, and you'll want to tiptoe around them at every opportunity. They might be on the defensive and imagine that you're getting at them all the time, or they could be quick to point the finger of blame straight at you. It won't be an easy day, but try not to get swept up in the emotional dramas that are swirling around you. They'll only exhaust you.
