Stupid decision... Torrence is an above average special teams player who can succeed in coverage. Justin Tryon, however, is useless. He's played 3 or 4 snaps this year and has been thrown at probably every time and the pass has probably been completed every time barring a drop. If he got burned by 2nd and 3rd teams (many of whom didn't even make their respective teams) in the preseason, how will he possibly hold up against legit NFL players?

Please tell me that they picked to release Torrence instead of Tryon because of salary cap reasons. Torrence is better than Tryon, plain and simple. This move is strange and if an NFC East team gets him, I will be very upset.

probably because of cap issues (they'd take a big cap hit on Tryon's release)

This is silly. You have a player who is improving and a player who's behavior and play has declined in the last two seasons... and you pick the one on the decline... Thats crazy

If you haven't even started them yet, there's no need to be gripped by a senseless panic.
