Good for Leslie. The title and subsequent bump in pay is well deserved for a man to follow Tomlin without skipping a beat. If Tarvaris and Childress get the pink hermetically sealed slip, then Frazier' number could be up here.

Hopefully Frazier's opportunity to be a head coach will come very soon – in Minnesota. Don't know if he's ready but I'm positive Childress isn't – and never will be.

As bad of a coach Childress has been, he has brought some great things to Minnesota with C. Taylor, Ben Leber, quality second day picks like B. Robison and Ray Edwards and other quality players. Plus, having Adrian Peterson doesn't hurt, and has probaly kept his job safe. Not to mention some great games, the Vikings vs Chargers is probably one of top 10 best Viking games i've ever seen; and that 35 pts. aaginst Det. in the first half was sweet.

But, its those other games that are going to be the downfall of Childress' tenure here.

What we do know is that Mike Tomlin is a head coach and now Leslie Frazier probably becoming one in the future because they get 'it'. However, whatever 'it' is that you need to be a good Head Coach Childress just doesn't have it, and one day Frazier will get his chance to shine here in Minnesota and hire a REAL offensive coordinator.

I'm really happy for Frazier. He seems to be a great guy and his promotion is deserved. Unlike many fans, I'm not ready to give up on Childress just yet. If he fails this year, then it's good to know we have Frazier waiting in the wings to step up and take charge.

I have not given up on Chilly but the idea of natural progression is interesting. Frazier as our HC with a real offensive coordinator and our ability at drafting and cap management and the future looks good!

It's easy to agree with just about all of the posts. "skeane", as far as some of the players brought in. I'd add Chester Taylor to that list too. Both of the DCs under Childress have been of good quality. Last years' draft was superb. And, it has to be admitted: Childress has a pair of big brass ones to tack his entire future on TJax. So he's obviously not a pu-$$-ie. His chief faults seem to be in-game adjustments, and throwing the challenge flag in situations that are almost comical.- At this point, one could add "Waders" post. I agree with it.
